Yesterday has been a phenomenal addition to our club in continuation of serving & acknowledging the efforts of the marginalised.

Yesterday led by Chairperson Jt. Secretary Saaket Agarwal we organised Vriddhi.

Vriddhi was celebrated along with the jail inmates who are serving their time in the correctional home.

The event witnessed participation from every person in the correctional home. From yoga competition to musical chair, dance competitions to games for kids. In total 10 events had been organised during Republic Day.

Lion Suresh Sinhal, 1st Vice District Governor has graced the event as guest of honor. We also are grateful to him for encouraging our club with providing the opportunity with this.

We also recognised the year long efforts of people who are volunteering for gardening, office work & others inside the correctional home.

Other guests were Superintendent DK Sarki, Asst. Jailer Samiul Islam, Lioness Manju Mittal & Adv. Deepak Sharma.

In the event were present oorja members, Lion Yogesh Goel, Lion Ayush Agarwal, Lion Nilesh Agarwal, Lion Sailesh Singhal, Lion Saaket Agarwal, along with members from Youth of India Foundation - Aman, Chandan.

Lions Terai Oorja hosted MEGA SERVICE EVENT in the SK Udyog, Fulbari on December 13 from 1.30P.M. - 5P.M. The mega Service Project was led & sponsored by Nilesh Agarwal.

Various service projects that were held:-

1. Blood Donation Camp
2. Health Check-Up Camp
3. Eye Check-Up Camp
4. Diabetes Check-Up Camp
4. Distribution of Blankets
5. Distribution of Cooked Food Tripti: Food For All
6. Dental Check-Up Camp

We are very glad to have the presence of various members.
The dental check-up camp was done by STAR DENTAL & COSMETIC, Dr. Anie and health check-up has been done by Acharya Tulsi Diagnostics Center (ATDC), blood Donation collection by Lions Terai Blood Bank.

Event: Make underprivileged students buy footwear

On the occasion of International Day of Peace, Lions Terai Oorja organised Muskan 4.0!

50+ underprivileged children had been invited to Sreeleathers showroom near Ramkrishna Maidan. All these children selected their own slippers/sandals or shoes according to their likings and presence. We then purchased the same and gave it to them.

Children are the future of the country and for that all these basic requirements should be fulfilled for them to continue their education.

Special thanks to the Ward Councillor Shivika Mittal bhabhi & Lion Jatin for strengthening the initiative. Also special thanks to Anil & Naresh Uncle from Lions Terai to support all of us by being present throughout the event.

A big shout to Lion Vaibhav, Chairperson of Muskan in coordinating this.

It gives lions terai oorja immense pride in completing its awareness and vending machine distribution program with Inner wheel club of siliguri Uttorayon Aura(charter 6817).

We jointly decided to associate and donate vending machine and hold a awareness camp on menstrual hygiene at matigara balika vidyalaya .

We thank Dr Pronomita ghosh (Gynaecologist) Who briefed the student In a beautiful Manner. She further took the questions of the students beautifully and we were extremely delighted to have her with us .

Secondly there was also distribution of the vending machine which was installed at the School . The purpose and use of vending machine was further briefed to the students

Thirdly there was also distribution of Sanitary pad to all students.

Event such as today are strong topics in the society and we at oorja are glad to this up with the help of our lionades.

Terai Oorja feels women empowerment is the only way where the country can reach its desired heights and we at oorja are committed to women empowerment .

On 5th September under the leadership of our First Lady, Lionade Shreya Agarwal, Charter First Lady, Swati Parakh & Lionade Sunidhi Goel, we celebrated our teachers day with teachers who are the sole bread earners of their family.

Muskan 3.0

Yesterday, in the leadership of our Chairperson Lion Vaibhav Agarwal, we witnessed yet another great Muskan event.

Today, we screened movie 🎥 Spider-Man: No Way Home to Nirmala Night School Students.

93 students along with 7 teachers of the night school were present, including the Principal of Night School.

Each one of them also enjoyed popcorn in the interval. The students expressed immense joy & happiness while they enjoyed the movie in Inox.We also distributed one cap each to every student.

We organised three programs at Doon Heritage School today on September 6th, 2022:

- Green School project by planting 25 trees along with the students and administration of Doon Heritage School

- Organising Peace Poster competition for the age group of 11-13 years. Nazma won the first prize which will also be sent to the District for the International competition.

- Reading Action Program (RAP) with essay competition, poem recitation & story telling for the students. More than 100 students participated in this.

Lions Terai Oorja hosted *MEGA SERVICE EVENT* in the Dagapur Tea Estate on August 28 from 10am - 3.30pm by Courtesy of Lion Saurav Berlia. Total Beneficiaries: 5926 from numerous service projects conducted parallely: -

6. Distribution of Umbrellas
7. Plantation of trees under One District, One Activity

We are very glad to have the presence of various members. In the past three events, we have had great participation of our members.

We also had other Lionades encouraging the mega service project. Thanks to Trisha Bhabhi, Deepshikha Bhabhi & Shreya Bhabhi.

Lions Terai Oorja updated their business hours.

Yesterday Lion Naveen Parakh and Family, in memory of his late grandfather Lt. Shri Chainroop Ji Parakh had organized a food distribution program at their home and multiple offices.

With the generosity shown by him and his family we were able to serve over 1500 needy people. Beyond this food was also distributed to nearby Orphanages and nearby locality.

The hunger relief program was conducted at:-

1. Parakh Residence
2. Parakh L***s, Bhutkihat
3. Parakh Service Station, Bidhan Nagar

The Rasoi contained the plate with freshly cooked mixed Khicdi with freshly cut vegetables, Pickle & Delicious Sabji.

Also we thank Lion Navratan Parakh father of Lion Naveen for allowing us to associate with then.

Tripti - Hunger Relief is one of the spotlight service project of Siliguri Lions Terai Oorja.
