Once upon a time, preparing for this exam was a very costly affair. The regular and weekend batches and test series of many COACHING INSTITUTES BECAME THE REAL WINNERS IN THIS RACE leaving behind the aspirants continue to aspire and made money from them. Now, the time has change and ever since the commission has changed the pattern of the examination and the syllabus from 2019, the examination has become a Nightmare for many players including leading coaching institutes who are struggling hard to figure out a strategy relevant to the present pattern of the exam.

To work in the civil services of the state demands a broad knowledge about the state, the nation and the world. TNPSC has carefully designed the syllabus and the pattern to filter the best of the candidates, having the ability to dynamically analyze the various contemporary issues and challenges relevant to the state and visualize a solution, through a 3-Stage Filtration procedure.

Stage-1: The Preliminary Exam

This is mere a gate pass to the Stage-2 - The Main exam. Your score in this stage is immaterial. It is more than enough that you clear the minimum cut off fixed by the commission for entry into the mains. The present pattern of the exam favours a Banking aspirant with a little knowledge on General Studies sufficient to clear it. The 2019 Preliminary exam question paper with about 50 questions from Aptitude is a classic example for this. Nevertheless, the weightage of General Studies is significant enough that a candidate with little knowledge on aptitude has no need to worry at all.

Stage-2: The Main Exam

There is a famous quote in this industry that “The Mains is the Mains”. Your score in this stage is the most important. Your Score here out of the 750 marks in the three General Studies Paper decides “Who you will be!” TNPSC has crafted the questions of this examination into Two Sections.
• Section A -> “What you know about ........?” type questions of 10 marks each to be answered in not more than 150 words.
• Section B -> “Analyse (0r Critically Analyse) ........?” type questions of 15 marks each to be answered in not more than 250 words. The Section-B type Questions favours a UPSC Civil Services Aspirant.

The T&P Academy, “Daily1” Sets are designed to maximise your scoring potential in the Main Exam. One question, either Section-A type or Section-B type, will be sent to you everyday in Telegram App or WhatsApp till the results of the preliminary exam, after which exclusive “Mains” Sets will be focused upon. You may write an answer to the question and send it back to us for review and feedback. We provide the answer to the question, the next day with tips to approach any similar question on the topic. This is our premium content and we offer it presently for a limited period, at a very low price of Rs.999/- to enroll yourself in the “Daily1” programme. Aspirants, who are women and/or belonging to SC/ST shall avail an additional discount of Rs.500/- by providing proper documentary proof for the same along with the enrollment form.

Stage-3: The Interview/Oral Test

This is the third and the final stage in the exam. The maximum marks here is 100. Your score in the mains and the interview together decides your selection for the various posts in the order of merit. The purpose of the interview is to assess the managerial abilities of the candidates.

The T&P Academy, “Oral Test” Schedule and Venue will be announced soon after the results of the Mains and will be restricted to only “Daily1” enrollments.
