What triggers arthritis in fingers?

The most common triggers of an OA flare are overdoing an activity or trauma to the joint.
Other triggers can include bone spurs, stress, repetitive motions, cold weather, a change in barometric pressure, an infection or weight gain.
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is an inflammatory disease that affects the skin and joints.

In a normal shoulder, the upper arm, shoulder blade, and collarbone come together with the help of tendons and muscles called the shoulder capsule.

Synovial fluid lubricates the capsule and the joints for easier movement.

In someone with frozen shoulder, the capsule thickens and becomes tight.

Stiff tissues called adhesions develop, and generally, there is less synovial fluid. All of this combines to prevent movement in your shoulder with or without help.

Both trapezitis and cervical spondylosis can cause neck pain, stiffness and restricted range of motion.

However, trapezitis is mostly known to be an occupational hazard since it most occurs in those who do desk job or computer job.

It is mostly managed with conservative treatment like physical therapy, massage, breathing exercises, postural changes etc.

Cervical spondylosis is a typical age-related problem.

Conservative treatments can offer some relief, but one may have to take medicines too. In extreme cases surgery is suggested.

Upper and middle back pain is not as common as low back pain or neck pain, because the bones in this area of the back don't flex or move as much as the bones in your lower back or neck.

Instead, they work with the ribs to keep the back stable and help protect vital organs, such as the heart and lungs.

Regularly stretching the muscles, tendons, and ligaments that support the spine is an important element of all back exercise programs.

Benefits of stretching include:

Reducing tension in muscles supporting the spine, tension in these muscles can worsen pain from any number of back pain conditions

Improving range of motion and overall mobility

Good posture is a form of fitness in which the muscles of the body support the skeleton in an alignment that is stable and efficient. Good posture is present both in stillness and in movement.

Unfortunately, numerous factors can get in the way of good posture. Bad posture can come about by things like the day to day effects of gravity on our bodies. Bad posture may also occur due to an injury, an illness, or because of genetics—issues that, for the most part, you can't control.

Sitting for prolonged periods of time can be a major cause of back pain, cause increased stress of the back, neck, arms, and legs and can add a tremendous amount of pressure to the back muscles and spinal discs.

Additionally, sitting in a slouched position can overstretch the spinal ligaments and strain the spinal discs.

Sitting, on the other hand, forces the vertebrae to compress down onto each other and withstand more force, increasing the risk of chronic lower back pain.

Even though sitting can feel comfortable and relaxed in the moment, it puts a lot of stress on your nerves.

Lower back pain is one of the leading causes of physical disability, especially at the workplace.

Research indicates that almost 80% of the population is likely to suffer from lower back pain in their lifetime.

Physiotherapy is one of the most widely used forms of treatment adopted for gaining relief from low back pain.

The human back is basically a highly complex system of series of interlocking elements including the vertebrae, discs, facet joints, ligaments and muscles. Owing to such a complex structure, an episode of back pain needs a strong physiotherapy-based rehabilitation program.

Treatment for spinal stenosis depends on the location of the stenosis and the severity of your signs and symptoms.

It's common for people who have spinal stenosis to become less active, in an effort to reduce pain. But that can lead to muscle weakness, which can result in more pain. A physical therapist can teach you exercises that may help:

Build up your strength and endurance

Maintain the flexibility and stability of your spine

Improve your balance

When you’re inactive for an extended period, you may experience knee pain. Sitting for a certain length of time can cause your muscles and tendons to stiffen, and this can cause discomfort.

Many people find themselves sitting for a long time at: work, events, such as a movie or show, meals, home watching TV or using a computer.

Knee pain is a common complaint among adults and most often associated with general wear and tear from daily activities like walking, bending, standing and lifting.

Athletes who run or play sports that involve jumping or quick pivoting are also more likely to experience knee pain and problems.

The knee is a vulnerable joint that bears a great deal of stress from everyday activities, such as lifting and kneeling, and from high-impact activities, such as jogging and aerobics.

Photos from IN-Motion REHAB's post 18/06/2021

Most commonly, mechanical issues and soft-tissue injuries are the cause of low back pain.

These injuries can include damage to the intervertebral discs, compression of nerve roots, and improper movement of the spinal joints.

The single most common cause of lower back pain is a torn or pulled muscle and/or ligament.
