On Sunday 12th June P.W.A.T (Thane Physio Association) had held Pre- Monsoon Cricket League.
Physiotherapist all around Thane district individual and with teams had gathered.
I had no plans of playing was gonna just sit around ,meet other physios, CHEER my husband's team and enjoy the matches.
Then everything turned opposite , I ended up joining a team (Palghar Physios) thinking il play a match or two but went up to the Finals -WON Second place.
Additionally, played a Female physio match also and WON the match.

Gait training

Patients do learn to walk eventually on their own.
❓But do they walk as normally as before?
❓Is there a correct way to walk?

✨Gait training is combination of Strengthening, balance training ,weight bearing and aerobic training

✨Gait training is practiced for all kinds of patients like Stroke, post lower limb fracture, amputation, weakness in lowerlimb, joint replacements, spinal cord injuries and balance issues

👉🏻It makes you independent, moreover in neurological cases this kind of training with repetitive movements stimulates the nerves,helps strengthen the muscles which will reduce the spasticity and help gain control over the movement.

These are few exercises:
➡️Side walking
➡️Hurdle crossing
➡️Walking over obstacles
which are also a part of our daily routine activities, like crossing roads, potholes , stepping over , climbing steps, getting across things and others

This is how gait training helps
And it must be done under the supervision of a physiotherapist at first.

⚡Rehab exercises for Sciatica⚡
👉🏻Sciatica pain is caused by inflammation or impingement of the the Sciatic nerve

👉🏻It causes Sharp shooting pain in the lower limb , tingling sensation or numbness and difficulty walking.

👉🏻Exercises helps to stretch the nerve and strengthen the muscles thus reducing the impingement
- Stretching
-Pelvic tilting
-Bridging
-Back extension
-Leg raises

⚠️Exercises should be stopped immediately if the symptoms worsen and must be reported to your Physiotherapist

⏩Physiotherapy exercises must be repeated at home.

👉🏻One session at clinic will relieve some pain but for effective and permanent results you have to repeat it again at home and continue with exercise program as per prescribed exercise dosage

👉🏻 Practicing exercises at home helps you to identify points of pain, any difficulty while doing exs or rise in pain with particular exercise.

⛔ If so then you must inform your therapist the very next day so they can review it

Physiotherapy is a team work and it can only be achieved with you as an active member.

As soon as the rain showers start we get to see these amazing, plumpy, maroon-red fruit everywhere

It is one of my favourite fruit ❤️ coz its sweet and tangy at the same time 😋
Every year mom used to get it specially for me without fail
But never thought that this plumpy little fruit had so many benefits,I just ate it coz I liked it ❤️😍😍
Now I know it's almost like a blessing to my body

Rehabilitation Exercises for correcting the ROUNDED SHOULDERS

Daily task contributing to rounded shoulder are
▶️ using a smartphone or tablet
▶️Long hours of sitting
▶️ Bending over repeatedly
▶️ Lifting heavy weights
▶️ Sitting in front of screen
▶️ Driving a vehicle

Being in this posture can affect your health and appearance and other issues like:
▶️ Shallow breathing
▶️ Shortened chest muscles
▶️ Neck pain
▶️ Upperback pain
▶️ Shoulder pain

✨Thoracic dysfunction is present in many cases and needs to be treated along with other issues.

✨Thoracic dysfunction can occur due to biomechanical changes in the body

✨People facing Recurring neck pain, Pain over ribs or near Thoracic spine, Restricted shoulder movements, Recurring low back pain, Difficulty in particular sports (requiring throwing,weight lifting and others) can have thoracic dysfunction.
