Our story

It all began in 2011 when a small group of dedicated volunteer came together and provided care and support to the vulnerable and abandoned people who face hunger and poverty.These people were experiencing great difficulty in their lives and were living in poor conditions. Some are vulnerable individuals who had been turned away by their own families.

This group further developed in 2014 and formed a charitable trust named Aashrayatheeram Charity Village in Venjaramoodu, Thiruvananthapuram District, South Kerala. We are a registered Charity Which provides Sheltered accommodation,Day care and Residential And nursing care for those who are suffering from various illness.Our mission is to provide an inspirational community where these people are empowered and enable to live full and rich lives through quality care support, Housing and friendship.

Aashrayatheeram is currently supporting 26 individuals, providing them with accommodation and all necessary care services. There an additional 23 peoples on our waiting list with urgent care and support needs, However we are unable to accommodate them at this time with our very limited resources. Aashrayatheeram supports a further 25 individuals by providing them with food, medicine and care needs. many of them require full time care and attention.
