Department of Periodontology at Manubhai Patel Dental College conducted a CDE program - “Professional Enrichment Program-Interdisciplinary Periodontics” for Private Practitioners and Students on 4th August 2024 in association with Indian Society of Periodontology and Indian Dental Association Vadodara.

We conducted Lectures on Periodontics for general practitioners, peri-implantitis and lasers in periodontics. Our esteemed speakers were Dr Shivlal Vishnoi, Dr Priyadarshini Nadig and Dr Monali Shah.
A Hands-On session of Laser Surgery on animal models were organized which made the CDE a huge success.

The National Integrated Typodont Workshop – West zone was
conducted from 24th to 26th July at Manubhai Patel Dental College,Vadodara in association with Indian Orthodontic Society and Gujarat Orthodontic Study Group. The keynote speakers were Dr Vignesh Kailasam, Dr Padmaja Sharma, Dr Sarvraj Kohli, Dr Jayesh Rahalkar, Dr Mahesh Jain, Dr Sridevi Padmanabhan, Dr
Dolly Patel, Dr Kalyani Trivedi, Dr Dharmadeep, Dr Nikunj Patel,
Dr Chintan Walia, Dr Pranav Chandarana and Dr Jigar Vakil. It
featured a comprehensive programme designed to offer participants a blend of hands-on experience and expert-led discussions.

World No To***co Day – 2024 - Protect Children from To***co Industry Interference
On the occasion of World No To***co Day – 31st May 2024, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology and Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology jointly organized a series of events.

The students were informed and motivated to look for and to prevent the to***co consumption by their patients.

The students, the faculty and the patients took a Pledge to fight against the nuisance of to***co in the interest of self and community well-being.

Pledge taking ceremony was conducted in all the departments of the college. Display of various models and charts was carried out on 30th and 31st May 2024 to demonstrate ill effects of to***co and the dedicated interns distributed the leaflets and motivated the patients to leave the to***co related habits.

at PG Convention IACDE CHENNAI 2024.

- National Oral pathologist Day was celebrated on 25th February 2024 by the Department of Oral Pathology & Microbiology. Mask making competition was organised that showcased artistic fervour of 1st and 2nd BDS students.
-Winners for Mask Making Competition were, 1st Isha & group, 2nd Drima & Group, Nidhi & Group & 3rd Aashna & group, Karm & Group.
- The staff, postgraduate students, interns and students had dressed-up in the theme of hematoxylin and eosin (shades of Violet and pink) to celebrate the event.
- H & E Twinning and Ramp walk competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from staff and students and was judged by Chairman Dr. Rajendrasinh Rathod & Dr. RV Subramanyam (Dean, K M Shah Dental College)
- Winners for the Ramp Walk of students category were 1st: Nidhi, Mausam, 2nd: Niyanta, hetvi, 3rd: Khushi, Yesha & Staff were Dr Sonal Mehta with Dr Aditi Bhatnagar & Dean Dr Sonali Kapoor with Dr Mehul Ojha.
- Dr RV Subramanyam sir delivered a guest lecture for 1st and 2nd BDS students which was a unique moment in itself.

Congratulations 1st year BDS Students Karm Patel & Aashaka Shah. They represented MPDC at Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra for the youth parliament. Kudos to the budding dentist! they are now selected to represent the University at the State level 👏🏼

As part of World Cancer day event, various activities were organized by the Department of Oral Pathology of our institution.

Patient education models explaining various aspects of Oral Cancer were displayed at the college reception area. Patient education leaflets describing the method of self-examination of oral cavity and signs of Oral precancer and cancer were distributed to the patients coming to college outpatient department, by the students.

Radio Jingle was played through Radio Mirchi for two days in Vadodara City for spreading awareness about Oral Cancer. Free Oral Cancer Check- Up week was announced through radio and patients were screened for Oral Cancer.

Department interns enthusiastically participated in the event by making a rangoli near college entrance.
A special lecture on Oral Cancer Awareness was organised.

Graduation Ceremony of the BDS & MDS Batch of 2023 - Manubhai Patel Dental College The most important day of a students life, the graduation ceremony took place at Rayna Resort, Vasad near Vadodara in the month of December 2023.

As the year 2024 is ready to set in the month of Dec MPDC saw its students graduate with flying colors. It was absolutely a proud moment for the institution.

The cultural committee of Tatva 2023 who worked extremely hard to make 2022-2023 a memorable experience for MPDC students were treated by College Management at The Boat Club Vadodara at Vasad. The students enjoyed Kayaking, Speed Boat Ride and High Tea by the River. Thank you once again to the committee for their hard work.

Congratulations Dr Harleen Soni for being Awarded" Best Paper Award" in the Faculty Section at the Pediatric Dentistry (ISPPD) Conference 2023 held at Karnavati University, Gandhinagar.

Department of Orthodontics, celebrated National Orthodontist Day on 5th October 2023 with HODs from all Departments and students which was organized by the Department of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics.

A cultural program including a rangoli and 2 skits was performed by our PGs and Interns. The first skit was performed by the Postgraduate students along with interns for patient education on Orthodontic treatment. In the skit, students were standing in an arch form with malocclusion. Then a PG student narrated the treatment plan of extraction and aligning with brackets and archwires. The second skit was presented by the PG student where she explained various treatment modalities for Class II and Class III malocclusion. The celebration was graced by Chairman Dr. Rajendrasinh Rathod and Dean Dr.Sonali Kapoor.

Students of Mpdc participated in the event for 500 plus street children. It was a pre Diwali cm children’s day celebration at don bosco Snehalaya.It incorporated fun games , learning aids & dental tips for the participants
We hoped to bring about smiles in their life.
