Remembrance Day: At the BSM, we observed a one-minute silence in memory of all those who have lost their lives in conflicts around the world.

It is important that students understand the history but also recognise the individual human cost of war. We hope school is largely a place of joy, but such solemn moments help us to appreciate the value of peace, and the high price paid by many millions to secure it.

Congratulations to the 7 students in Year 12 who have been awarded the status of Honorary Scholar. The title is bestowed on students identified as having a combination of the highest Attainment and Attitude to Learning scores and strongest academic records.

The group will now work alongside our Academic Scholars, to lead their year group academically as well as contributing to the 'Scholar's Blog'.

The BSM annually awards three IB Diploma Programme scholarships to students of high academic ability: A Scholarship is a prestigious award that recognises a student's academic performance, potential and participation in school life. As role models, scholars will be leading members of the Sixth Form and the broader school community.

The scholarships are open on a competitive basis to all candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria. The award of all scholarships will be based on merit.

We were delighted to welcome BSM Alumnus Mattia Moleri (Class of 2016). He spoke to Sixth Form students about his professional life as a digital content creator focused on the culinary arts.

34.8% of all results awarded top grade 9
4 students gain perfect scores across all subjects

The BSM Music Department is delighted to host the annual Carmine Carol Concert on Wednesday 14 December at 20.00 at the Santa Maria del Carmine Church.

The annual Carmine Christmas Carol Concert has become a real tradition within the school. Held each December in Santa Maria del Carmine Church, the service is based upon the King’s College Service, featuring readings from the Gospels, carols such as Come All Ye Faithful, commencing with a candle-lit procession into the church.

Year 5 pupils have been learning woodworking skills as part of their Design Technology unit. They learned how to measure, saw and sand pieces of wood.

Pupils are designing lanterns for the reading corners in their classes.

We are delighted to host the BSM Christmas Fair at Giardini Galbiati on Monday 19 December.

There will be a WINTER WONDERLAND, SANTA’S GROTTO WITH HIS ELVES, A VIRTUAL SLEIGH RIDE, an amazing CHRISTMAS MARKET, a CAKE SALE with BEST CAKE COMPETITION, a CHRISTMAS BAR by Feltre Bakery with hot chocolate, many ACTIVITIES for the children, and much more!

The proceeds of the Christmas Fair will go towards a science and technology project.
