A Trip Down Memory Lane
Twelve years ago, a simple but unforgettable video captured a candid moment that would set the stage for a whole new way of exploring Rome. In this clip, Paolo and Roberto, the founders of My Best Tour, can be seen driving golf carts through the historic streets of the Eternal City. With smiles and a sense of excitement, they were not just leading a group of tourists from the US, they were beginning to realize just how special their venture would become.
At the time, golf cart tours in Rome were an innovative and fresh idea, pioneered by Paolo and Roberto themselves. This video is a charming throwback to the early days, showcasing the duo at their early days. Their laughter, enthusiasm, and passion for sharing Rome's beauty shine through as they glide effortlessly through the city's ancient landmarks. Little did they know, this was just the beginning of something much bigger.
Fast forward to today, My Best Tour is now the leading golf cart tour company in Rome, boasting the largest fleet of golf carts in the city. What started as a vision of bringing a new, personal way to explore the city has transformed into an empire of unforgettable experiences for tourists from all over the world. Paolo and Roberto have not only built a thriving business, but they’ve also redefined the way people see and experience the wonders of Rome.
This video from twelve years ago serves as a powerful reminder of why they started this journey—to bring joy, adventure, and memories to their clients. Looking back, it’s clear that Paolo and Roberto were destined for greatness, and today, My Best Tour stands as a testament to their dedication, innovation, and love for Rome. Here’s to many more years of creating magical moments and sharing the beauty of this timeless city!

Every year on June 29th, Rome bursts into celebration for the Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul, honoring two key figures of early Christianity with a mix of faith, history, and Roman flair.
-Meet the Saints-
St. Peter, the fisherman turned apostle, and St. Paul, the zealous convert and evangelist, are the dynamic duo who laid the foundations of the Church. Their combined legacy makes them the perfect saints to share a feast day.
-Roman Festivities-
The day kicks off with a grand Mass at St. Peter's Basilica, where the Pope leads the service in one of the world's most iconic religious sites. The basilica's grandeur sets a solemn yet inspiring tone for the day's events.
-Street Celebrations-
After the Mass, the mood turns festive with parades, music, and dancing. The streets of Rome come alive as people in traditional attire join marching bands, creating a vibrant, joyous atmosphere.
-Culinary Delights-
No Italian celebration is complete without delicious food. Romans enjoy traditional dishes and special treats like "pane di San Pietro" (Peter's bread) and "frittelle di San Paolo" (Paul's fritters), savoring these delights as they stroll through the bustling streets.
-Fireworks Finale-
As night falls, a stunning fireworks display over the Tiber River lights up the sky, synchronized with music. This spectacular show is a fitting tribute to the grandeur of St. Peter and St. Paul, capping off the celebration with a dazzling display.
If you find yourself in Rome on June 29th, don't miss the Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul. It's a lively blend of faith, festivity, and Roman tradition that creates an unforgettable experience.

When in Rome: Mastering the Art of the Nasoni!
Traveling is all about those little moments that make you feel like a true local. Case in point: our client was spotted pulling off a classic Roman move at one of the city's iconic nasoni! If you haven't experienced the magic of a nasoni (those charming public drinking fountains scattered all over Rome), you're in for a treat.
In this delightful snapshot, she's demonstrating the ultimate life hack: placing her finger under the spout to create a mini geyser from the tiny hole on top. It's a move that says, "I know my way around Rome!" and perfectly captures the joy of discovery. But she did not stop there, she decided to fill her bottle the way same too!
Meanwhile, her friend stands in the background, enjoying the scene with a smile that's almost as refreshing as the water itself. There's something wonderfully satisfying about mastering this simple trick and sharing a laugh with friends.
So next time you're in Rome, make sure to try this fun nasoni trick. Not only will you quench your thirst with some of the city's finest water, but you'll also have a blast doing it. And who knows? Maybe you'll end up in a picture-perfect moment just like this one!
Cheers to travel, adventure, and those little moments that make memories last a lifetime.

This week’s special: "The Ecstasy of St. Teresa"
All you art enthusiasts and curious souls, we're about to delve into the divine and scandalously sensational masterpiece known as "The Ecstasy of St. Teresa"!
Picture this: a warm summer afternoon in 17th-century Rome, where the air is thick with the scent of intrigue and religiosity. Enters Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the Michelangelo of his time, chisels and brushes at arm, ready to immortalize the mystical ecstasy of St. Teresa of Avila.
Now, what's all the fuss about, you may ask? Well, let us paint you a picture with words (because, alora, these days our artistic talents lie solely in linguistics).
St. Teresa, a devoted Spanish nun, is caught in a heavenly rapture, a sort of spiritual rollercoaster ride. Her eyes are shut tight, her lips parting in a silent scream or perhaps a prayer. But hold your horses, it's not just any divine moment. No, no! St. Teresa's ecstasy is a full-blown celestial flirtation. She's being speared by a cupid-angel, an arrow piercing her very soul. And here's the kicker: the expression on her face? Pure bliss, my friends, like she's just won the heavenly lottery!
But wait, there's more! Bernini doesn't just stop at capturing St. Teresa's ecstatic moment; he surrounds her with drama and theatrics. The entire scene unfolds in the Cornaro Chapel, where the walls seem to tremble with the intensity of the divine encounter. Light tumbles down from above, casting shadows and illuminating the drama below. It's like a Baroque opera, but without the high notes (or the intermissions).
Now, what do the good people say about this masterpiece? Well, some are positively scandalized! They clutch their pearls and fan themselves in disbelief. "Good heavens, is that nun experiencing... pleasure?" they whisper, scandalized yet secretly intrigued. Others, more scholarly types, stroke their beards and pontificate on the theological implications. "Ah, the ecstasy of divine love," they muse, their voices dripping with academic fervor. And then there are those who simply stand in awe, their eyes wide with wonder at the sheer audacity of Bernini's vision.
So, there you have it, folks: "The Ecstasy of St. Teresa" in all its scandalous, sensational glory. A masterpiece that transcends time and tickles the senses, leaving us mere mortals gasping for breath. Truly, art at its most divine—or devilishly delightful, depending on who you ask!

Buckle up people! 'cause this week we're taking a stroll down the quirky streets of Rome, where the real rockstars are the Sampietrino cobblestones! Picture this: you're wandering through the Eternal City, and beneath your feet, it's not just any old pavement – it's a dance floor of legendary stones.
Week # 03 “Sampietrino: The Story of Rome’s Iconic Roads..”
Meet the Sampietrino or Sanpietrino, the Chuck George Clooney of cobblestones. These little guys are the unsung heroes of Rome's streets, making every step you take a historic cha-cha. They're not your average rocks; they've seen it all – from gladiator sandals to modern-day sneakers.
First things first, Sampietrino isn't just a random name; it's a tribute! These small, rectangular basalt stones are named after St. Peter's Square (Piazza San Pietro) in Vatican City, where they were extensively used for pavement. Dating back to the 16th century when Pope Sixtus V commissioned their widespread use in the city.
Now, these stones aren't just randomly scattered; oh no, they've got a plan. They've lined up like a Roman legion ready for battle, creating those iconic patterns that give the city its distinct charm. It's like nature's own mosaic, but instead of a museum floor, it's the path you're strutting your stuff on.
But here's the kicker – these stones aren't just for show. They've got a story, a tale to tell. Legend has it that Sampietrino cobblestones are made from the volcanic rock that witnessed the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Talk about having a fiery history! These stones have survived more drama than your favorite soap opera character.
As you wander through the narrow alleys and bustling piazzas, don't be surprised if you find yourself doing a little Sampietrino shuffle. It's practically impossible not to join in the dance when the streets themselves are busting out the moves!
Sure, they may not be as famous as the Colosseum or the Vatican, but the Sampietrino cobblestones are the unsung champions of the Roman streetscape. So, next time you're in Rome, keep an eye on the ground – those stones have a rhythm of their own, and you might just catch yourself tap dancing through history!

Week # 02 "Nasoni: Rome's Quirky Drinking Fountains"
This week we bring you another story from Rome. In the heart of the city, amidst the timeless charm, you'll discover an unexpected companion – the Nasoni, or "big noses," Rome's iconic drinking fountains. Dating back to the 19th century, these whimsically designed fountains, with spouts resembling colossal noses, have become a city trademark.
With over 2,500 scattered across Rome, the Nasoni provide a playful solution to hydration, drawing water from the city's ancient aqueducts. More than just functional, these fountains symbolize a blend of history and contemporary life, with locals and tourists alike converging for a refreshing sip and a moment of respite.
As the sun sets, the Nasoni witness a unique symphony of clinking bottles and laughter, becoming not just fountains but social hubs. Adorned with graffiti, they stand as silent storytellers, blending Rome's rich past with its ever-evolving present.
So, on your Roman wanderings, don't forget to pause at a Nasoni. It's not just a drink; it's a sip of history, a communion with the city's spirit, and a promise of more tales to come. Here's to Nasoni – Rome's quirky guardians of hydration and keepers of stories!
If you are thirsty and can't locate a nasoni by yourself dont worry! Thanks to Acea the "Waidy Wow App" is your go-to tool for finding nearby nasoni in Rome. With a simple tap, locate these iconic water fountains, ensuring easy access to refreshing drinking water during your city exploration.

We decided to take you through the history of Rome step by step and we'll try to publish an episode a week.
Here's the first one, we start from the beginning, the foundation of Rome!
Week # 01 "Capitoline Wolf"
Once upon a time, before Rome was founded, there were two brothers, Romulus and Remus. Their story began with a twist of fate, According to the ancient tale, King Numitor, the twins' grandfather, was ousted by his brother Amulius in Alba Longa. Amulius then commanded the twins to be thrown into the Tiber River But luck was on their side as they were found and nursed by a she-wolf, who took them under her care and raised them as her own.
As they grew up, the brothers developed a strong bond and an unbreakable connection with the she-wolf who had nurtured them. They had dreams of building a great city, but destiny had plans for them.
After arriving back in the area of the seven hills, they disagreed about the hill upon which to build. Romulus preferred the Palatine Hill, above the Lupercal; Remus preferred the Aventine Hill. When they could not resolve the dispute, they agreed to seek the gods' approval through a contest of augury. Remus first saw six auspicious birds but soon afterward Romulus saw 12, and claimed to have won divine approval. They disputed the result: Remus insulted Romulus' new city and was killed, either by Romulus or by one of his supporters.Romulus then went on to found the city of Rome, its institutions, government, military and religious traditions. He reigned for many years as its first king.
To immortalize the story of their upbringing and the nurturing spirit of the she-wolf, a statue was crafted depicting the wolf nursing the twin brothers.

Sorry, we couldn't find a mailbox, so we're sending you our Christmas card this way...
We gathered to bid farewell to 2023 and welcome the promising year ahead at the Annual Dinner Party hosted by "My Best Tour." Set against the charming backdrop of Sapori Dal Mondo, the evening was a delightful celebration filled with joy and camaraderie. The event brought together approximately 100 people, including employees and collaborators, for a night of shared laughter and memories.
At the heart of the celebration were Paolo and Roberto, the visionary minds behind "My Best Tour." Their dedication and passion had been the driving force behind the company's success. As we came together to toast to the achievements of the past year, we also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of every individual who played a role in making "My Best Tour" a name synonymous with excellence.
