Remembering Dr Frederick on World Diabetes Day World Diabetes Day is next Tuesday (14 November), and on that day is commemorated the birthday of the Canadian Dr Frederick Banting.

This coming Tuesday (14th November) is World Diabetes Day 🤍

Our Pharmacist, Nima, who specialises in type 2 diabetes, will be providing free blood sugar testing all day from 8am to 6pm 👏🏻

Cardiovascular disease, including heart disease and stroke, is the world’s leading cause of death claiming 18.6 million lives each year. Stress can double the risk of having a heart attack. Here are some tips to help lower your stress levels:

🏃‍♀️ Be active - Exercise can reduce some of the emotional intensity that you're feeling, clearing your thoughts and letting you deal with your problems more calmly.

👩‍🏫Challenge yourself - Setting yourself goals and challenges, whether at work or outside, such as learning a new language or a new sport, can help build confidence. This may help you deal with stress.

🚬 Create healthy habits - Here at the Pharmacy we offer the government funded Help2Quit scheme for those thinking about or wanting to quit smoking.
