Our captain and crew had their first meeting with Ono-san from Beppu Ryokan Association.
Our ship is waiting for more crews onboard to do greater things.
Such a great honor to hold the session with Mr. Maki SEKI, who currently is the CFO of TMH Incorporation. The main topic was to share how his company could adapt to the COVID situation, remaining issues to cope with and human resources strategies regarding employees’ work efficiency and work ethics in a hybrid style. Key issues to catch up with:
✅ Teamwork & Communication
- Internal and External Communication via online tools require consistency and flexibility
- Foster workplace unity among offices from companies’ system
✅ Training and Education
- Proper guidance online to instruct newcomers and current employees
✅ Evaluation
- Appropriate evaluation style to scale performance of colleagues
- Record of work efficiency and KPIs set-up for each employee
✅ Recruitment
- Internships opportunities for talented people with the current constraints in COVID-19
- Online recruitment process to search out the most suitable candidates for the position.
What would be more interesting than getting to know the practical knowledge from the Leader?
Stay tuned for the update with us!

Ahoy friends 🏴☠️ We still have two more days before the final deadline for SPRING 2021 seminar class application! (July 16th 2021)
Here are five tips on Seminar Consultation!
1. Know your seminar
Before you apply for seminar classes, make sure to read the list of seminar courses in the Academic Office Website. This will help you to know each Professors requirements and their research themes [https://en.apu.ac.jp/academic/page/content0059.html/?c=1]
2. Know your Professor’s personality and teaching style
Simply by taking their classes or connect with their former students. And of course by attending to one of the consultations period, you can connect and discuss your ideas with your Professors to get to know deeper about their teaching styles.
3. Matching topic
Your topic of interest should be somewhat related to your Professor’s research theme. This way, you can benefit from your Professor skills and knowledge for your thesis.
4. Research about your topics
To be able to have a smooth consultation with your Professor, don’t come empty handed. Do a little bit of research about your topic of interest and the seminar research theme. Simply by Google or borrow books from the library can help you.
5. Make appointment for consultation (via email)
Write an email that explains about you and why you are interested to join their Seminar class. Please Look for the Professors email from the syllabus at campus terminal.
Good luck with your consultation and the application for Seminar classes! Don’t be shy to ask us via DM if you have any worries or questions ⚓️
Wondering why you should join a seminar? Here are five reasons why joining seminars is a good decision:
1. Learn to conduct academic research
Want to learn more about a topic but don't know where to start? You will learn how to do quantitative and qualitative research from the professors and apply them to your own study.
2. Small- sized class
A seminar usually has less than 20 students, which means more attention and in-depth discussions with your professor.
3. Have your own squad (to do research)
You will meet like - minded students who are interested in the same subjects as you are and support you during the research progress.
4. Non academic activities
Who said seminar is only for research? You can have (online) gatherings, networking events, or do a whole project like CAPT x Hiro! (but remember to stay safe during the pandemic!)
5. Have a great time!
After all, university is about experiences. Don't forget to enjoy your APU years! Research is not easy, but your seminar professor and squad will always be there for you, so don't worry, just apply for seminars!
Don't hesitate to send us a DM if you have any questions about our seminar~
