Our school recently hosted a trip to the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka!

The students had an awesome time exploring this magical venue and learning about Hayao Miyazaki and his works, all in Japanese! 🇯🇵

Unfortunately there are no photos allowed inside the museum, so if you want a good look you’ll have to come with us next time! 😉

Recently we hosted a seminar by "Classroom Adventure", a group of three university students who are seeking spread awareness about misinformation and how its is spread!

They educated our students on media literacy though a number of puzzle-solving games. This is such exciting and important work that NHK came to cover the seminar!

現在、様々なニュースにおいてフェイクニュースと呼ばれる誤情報の拡散が深刻な課題となっています。そういった問題に対処するために立ち上がった大学生3人からなる「Classroom Adventure」を学校に迎え、謎解きゲームでのメディアリテラシー講座をしていただきました。その様子をNHKが取材に来ました！

The other day some of our students went on an excursion to KIRIN, a Japanese company famous for its beer!

They got to see how the beer is made, eat food made from barley used in the brewing posses, and sample plenty of the end product ;) Everything brewed by KIRIN's draft maser was smooth and delicious!

KIRINビールの工場見学ツアーに行ってきました！ビールの原材料の麦を食べてみたり、ホップのにおいを嗅いでみたり、麦汁を飲んでみたり、色々な経験ができて面白かったですね。最後にみんなでビールを飲みました。KIRINビールのブルワリードラフトマスターが入れてくれたビールは、なめらかでとてもおいしかったですね！

Can you believe this gorgeous park is where Shibuya Gaigo Gakuin used to be located?

This spot in Shibuya housed our school until October 2018, and while we were sad to see the building demolished, we’re all very happy to see the land being used for such a beautiful park instead of a parking lot lol.

We threw a little graduation party our dear student Matin, who has studied at Shibuya Gaigo Gakuin for almost two years with nearly perfect attendance!
