Gender Links, a WPP consortium partner and International IDEA through the WPP Secretariat are the lead researchers of the barometer, a signature publication that demonstrates the status of Women's Political Participation in Africa. It aims to provide evidence, especially to policy makers to advocate and strengthen women's political participation and leadership.
The generous support of the Embassy of Sweden in Ethiopia has enabled the consortium to implement diverse strategic plans to enhance women's political participation in Africa.

The Regional Model School Module dubbed the 'Transformational Leadership for Young Girls in Africa' by Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) seeks to empower girls & young women to effectively participate in the socio-economic political space in their societies at a young age.
The module, which is an investment in girls' rights and leadership was informed by the fact that statistically, rarely take up leadership positions in primary, secondary and every at the tertiary school level.
