Al-Nur CBO Mombasa
Al-Nur CBO always empower, transforming and building future for communities.
Sometimes, it seems easier to others than it does to love yourself, but -acceptance is an important part of with others.
Loving yourself means recognizing your own -worth and living your own as as you can.
It is so easy to tell someone “love yourself” and much more to how to do it.
HOPE WING
Alnur helps widows to cater for their basic needs, encourage them to join adult education, giving food donations, sponsor education and empower them by offering psychological talks to help them recollect themselves from losing their spouses and move on with their life.
On Sunday,we were humbled to spend our afternoon at Neema Orphanage,Jomvu.
where we engaged our brothers & sisters there in a mental talk and also donated lunch, masks, sweets, soda & water.
Sometimes all that an orphan needs is a little help, little hope and somebody who believes in them!
It was indeed a great day and we thank everyone who made it a success.

Al-nur CBO in partnership with Akilimali Associate organized a workshop for young mothers from Tudor moroto at Ronald Ngala primary School in mombasa
The main aim of the workshop was to create safe space for them and discuss the challenges they are going through and also to try to come up with possible solutions to some of the issues are facing
Through the supporr of the well wishers we managed to support our young mother with some food stuff as a way to promote them with the state of living.
"If we don't make peace with nature expect more deadly pandemics"
Change is a tough process because we have to accept the fact that the current attitude, behaviour, process, values and beliefs are not working and it needs improvisation.
If we want to survive and evolve, we need to learn and improvise on a regular basis, if we want to achieve success.
Since, change is a tough process, we need to take it slower, otherwise we will overwhelm ourselves with the changing process.
Taking small steps on a regular basis gives big results because it's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It's what we do consistently.
So take smaller steps, one day at a time, do not overwhelm yourself by setting a difficult and bigger goal, rather take smaller and consistent steps towards change.
My childhood was traumatic, unpredictable, and chaotic.
I am the oldest of 5 and my parents were both alcoholics. I knew at a very young age my life would be different, but what I didn’t know was that the difference would come from me.
I used to think that if I found the “right” teacher, partner, friend, job, house, (the list goes on) then I would be successful and happy.
The truth is we are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
Of course we’re here to learn from others, we need loving care and support, but we do the work.
We are the ultimate boss of our lives.
No one can do for us what we need for our own success and happiness.
If you’re feeling like you need to make a change in your life. Do it. You don’t need to take the giant leap, just take one small step every day in the direction of your dreams. You’ve always had the power. 🌸
