How safe is your drinking water? 🤔
Pictured is the ENUMERATION of E.coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa in drinking water samples using MEMBRANE FILTRATION.
Membrane Filtration allows for the separation and concentration of microorganisms and particles. The water sample is passed through a porous membrane, which acts as a physical barrier. Contaminants are then retained in the membrane, allowing clean water to pass through.
Trapped microorganisms get cultured on nutrient media, enabling their identification and quantification.
