This afternoon, I was pleased to host His Excellency Sultan Hajiyev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Kenya for a courtesy visit at the Defence Headquarters.
We discussed an array of issues of possible collaboration between Kenya and Azerbaijan and the need to develop a robust Defence Cooperation framework to formalize our partnership in the defence domain.

Sen. Hezena Lemaletian gifts her mum a fully furnished English style designed house.
"It has been my childhood dream to do this for all the wonderful raising my mom did to me,my siblings and literally the entire extended family of my dad's side and for all the wonderful job she is doing as a stateswoman to empower Samburu women in Home economics and Agriculture. The day was marked by pomp and colour as the family and our immediate neighbors joined in the explosion of emotions & celebrations. The Riverfront residents were so emotional as this marked a new beginning for the Samburu Girlchild as they witnessed that girls are equally useful,capable and responsible especially as first-born daughters. I indeed have witnessed the spread of inspiration this project has caused in our Lakirding'ai area since its onset. I am happy my mom,Mary Lemaletian Loved it. I am grateful to my dearest uncle Christopher Lemaletian for ensuring this gem of a house was done to completion and for being the dad we have now. I also thank all the youth who took part in the construction,engineers,masons, electrician, Painters and all.

Professor James Simiren Ole Nampushi was today appointed as Vice Chancellor Administration Finance and Strategy of Maasai Mara University by the University Council. He will serve for a five year term renewable once.
Maasai Mara University is the only Public University in Maasai land in Kenya. We are happy that we have secured one senior chance in this institution.

Congratulations Prof Nampushi and all the best.
