As we reflect on 2023, we are filled with gratitude for your unwavering support. This year brought challenges and triumphs, but your belief in us has been the foundation of our journey. We want to express our deepest appreciation and share the lessons we've learned.

The year began with an unexpected eviction notice in January. It tested our resilience and taught us the power of unity. Your support through the GoFundMe campaign not only helped us financially but also gave us hope. We released our seventh album, Twende, Thanks to your contributions.

One memorable performance was at Fairmont Mount Kenya, Nanyuki in February. Your energy and enthusiasm fueled us throughout the year. Another highlight was our Ikigai performance in Lavington, which opened doors for us to perform at Safari Park Hotel. We are grateful for the partnerships that have emerged.

The launch and concert of Twende at The Tribe Hotel were special moments for us. The album is a testament to our spirit and the power of music. It features 10 songs that take you on an emotional journey, blending traditional Kenyan melodies with modern influences.

We are proud of collaborating with three remarkable producers from the US, UK, and Canada. Their expertise and guidance elevated our music while staying true to our Kenyan roots.

We would like to thank God, our donors, supporters, and parents for their prayers and unwavering belief. Without your support, none of this would have been possible.

Above everything else, we recognize that it is God Almighty who has guided us, provided perfect timing, and held our hands and dreams throughout this journey. His divine intervention has been evident in every step we have taken. We humbly acknowledge His grace and mercy, and we are forever grateful for His presence in our lives.

Looking ahead to 2024, we are excited for what's to come. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of our artistry and making a positive impact through our music. Thank you for your continued support, and we can't wait to share more incredible moments with you.

“As I reflect on the past four years, the genesis of Twende began with a conversation in February 2019 with , a moment etched in time as we marked our calendar for the inaugural recording at . I take immense pride in having engineered most of the songs, working tirelessly alongside the talented and with invaluable assistance from .

This album is more than a collection of songs; it's a manifestation of our journey, encapsulating the growth and values we hold dear. The involvement of our members in the composition process speaks volumes about our collective progress.

Amidst the challenges posed by the relentless COVID-19 pandemic, we stood undeterred, keeping the creative flame burning & propelling the production forward. A pivotal chapter unfolded when contributed his brilliance to three of our songs. Spending seven days in the studio with him in Los Angeles was a profound learning experience—an encounter with a true musical genius.

generously gifted us "Hallelujah" for the album, and , their producer, lent his expertise to produce "Luku Luku Telo"—my sincere thanks to him.

Our paths serendipitously crossed with Grammy-nominated producer Jon Cohen, who breathed life into our project, elevating it to new heights & guiding it to completion. Gratitude is an understatement for this transformative collaboration.

A special acknowledgment goes to of for his exceptional mastering, adding the finishing touch to our musical tapestry.

Our hearts ache as we bid farewell to our dear friend and choir master, Delicia. Her musical spirit resonated not only in the harmonies we created together but also in the lives she touched across Canada and Kenya. Delicia's radiant presence illuminated every performance, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. In shared melodies, in shared moments, we found a friend and a mentor. As the Kenyan Boys Choir, we stand united in grief, remembering the joy she brought to every note sung. Our sincerest condolences go out to her family and friends.
