When Shaginay started her exchange program in Lithuania, she felt both excited and a bit nervous. From the moment she arrived, she felt welcomed by the local students and professors who were very kind to her.

Shaginay quickly adapted to life in Lithuania, enjoying the culture and traditions. She made friends with other exchange students and locals, explored the historic city of Vilnius, and enjoyed the delicious traditional Lithuanian food. Every day brought new adventures and discoveries.

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that our senior Fellow from Uzbekistan, Oybek Turaev, has been accepted into the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Program in Cybersecurity, CYBERUS. This top-tier program in the EU selects 30 global talents each year to study the latest advancements in cybersecurity with cutting-edge technology. Congratulations, Oybek!

Here’s what Oybek shared about his experience:

"Last year, as a junior, I discovered this amazing program. Despite my limited professional experience, I earned the Security+ certificate from CompTIA to strengthen my application. Out of 1367 applicants, only 118 were interviewed, and I’m honored to be one of the 30 selected!

The program kicks off in France with advanced courses in cybersecurity fundamentals, followed by a winter school in Estonia, home to the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence. I'll specialize in software security, studying in Luxembourg for the third semester. The final five months include an industry-based internship anywhere in the world. Plus, I'll learn French and gain entrepreneurship skills!

To make this happen, I received incredible support and suggestions during my essay review and interview preparation from my friends, professors at AUCA, alumni of the U.S.-CAEF Program, and mentors from Logos Company. I will be forever grateful!

Thank you all for your support and advice. Exciting times ahead!"
