Sign painting during lockdown March 2020. We were in Flores, Guatemala and we painted these signs for a work exchange for free lodging at a beautiful wholistic/vegan hostel, Ciao Cacao. Unfortunately, it was one of the many small businesses that could not financially withstand the lockdown. It was a harrowing time indeed, and we really didn't know what our next move would be. Lockdown was from 4pm to 4am, and movement was not permitted between states. Art really helped us to hold our strength, we found great peace in it. Not long afterwards, after many calls and emails to the Canadian consulate, we were afforded the papers permitting us to travel to Guatemala City, where we boarded a recue flight to Canada. Art truly heals, protects, and blesses. 🎨🍀🌈✨
