Anna Lim — AN INC. Gallery uit Seoul brengt op Unseen werk van Anna Lim en Piotr Zbierski. De Zuid-Koreaanse fotograaf Anna Lim speelt in haar werk regelmatig met de veronderstelling dat we op ieder moment verwikkeld kunnen raken in een crisissituatie — geen ongehoord idee als je dagelijks het nieuws tot je neemt en zeker niet als je ten zuiden van Noord-Korea woont. Haar werken hebben iets weg van een een geësthetiseerde calamiteitssimulatie en zeggen iets over onze sluimerende gevoelens van onrust, maar ook over de sensationele manieren waarop onze media (potentiële) rampen verbeelden, zeker ook in de context van de herhaaldelijke nucleaire raketproeven in Noord-Korea. In 2019 sleepte de kunstenaar een Photo Folio Review prize in de wacht tijdens Rencontres d’Arles.
