🙌 Samsung Engineering promotes children education in Thailand with donation of their 'Hope Library'! Our various CSR programs implemented, contribute socially to communities globally.

✨Among them, the 'Global Hope Library', is carried out in communities close to our overseas project sites. It originally started with the Opal project in India. Since then, over 20 Global Hope Libraries were established in 11 countries including Malaysia, Iraq, Algeria, etc.

🏫 Samsung Engineering donated a Hope Library for children from the Wat Manorom School, Amphoe Si Racha, Chon Buri, Thailand.
The ceremony was attended by Hong Namkoong, President and CEO of Samsung Engineering, Bandhit Thamprajamchit, Chief Executive Officer
and President of Thai Oil Public Company Limited as well as Ministry of Education officials. 🎉

📚Samsung Engineering will equip the library with over 1,000 books, further provide electronic devices from Samsung such as TV, tablets, computers, etc. Moreover, the library will be equipped with new furniture and various board games, such as LEGO and other children's toys for intellectual entertainment will be offered. 🎁

🥰 Samsung Engineering plans to continue building more libraries throughout the world to spread 'Hope' to the local communities.

🎉To celebrate the year-end holiday season, Samsung Engineering held various events.

❤For two days, the 21st and 22nd, the SAU Council prepared an event at the GEC lobby. This event was held in particular as a donation/sharing event called 'Beautiful Companionship', to spread the warmth of the year-end holiday season.

🤝As part of the main event, a donation event for pediatric cancer patients stationed at Samsung Hospital was included, further active recruitment for long-term contribution donors to Samsung Engineering’s internal donation campaign ‘SECL fund’ took place. As a special event, a dress-code R&G (red & green) competition was prepared for attendees, so they could participate in a fun event while showing off their stunning outfits.

👀Simultaneously, a joint club performance took place on Friday the 22nd at the International Conference Hall. In the first club joint performance, Incentive (band), Ensemble (orchestra), Groove N (hip-hop dance), and Song for Me (musical) put on a great performance that they had co-worked on determinately to develop over the years. The employees in attendance were surprised by the different appearances of their colleagues and did not spare their cheers and applause.

🔊 Samsung Engineering, announced today, that with LOTTE CHEMICAL, Korea National Oil Corporation and Malaysia's SEDC Energy (Sarawak Economic Development Corporation Energy) the FEED contract for the Sarawak H2biscus Green Hydrogen & Ammonia project(H2biscus) in Malaysia was launched with a kick-off meeting.

💧 Samsung Engineering will execute the FEED for the green hydrogen plant with an annual capacity of 150,000 tons and a green ammonia conversion plant with a capacity of 850,000 tons in Sarawak, Malaysia, expected completion in 2024.

🎤On the 9th, a CEO Town Hall Meeting was held at the GEC International Conference Hall under the title ‘A journey with companions’. At the CEO Town Hall Meeting about 600 executives and employees filled the conference hall and showed great interest.

💡President and CEO Hong Namkoong shared the company's current management status, vision, strategy and the direction in which we should move forward and said that he will continue to maintain active and open communication between the company and employees. Also he said that the company's vision can only be achieved if the company and its employees complement each other and work as a whole. Lastly, he would create an environment where employees can work happily, and asked employees to become “that person,” a partner who creates success together.

💞It was a heart-warming time where the company and its employees shared ways to grow together.

💕Samsung Nanum(Nanum means sharing in Korean) Week, working for a better tomorrow, will be held from November 1 to 14. Samsung Nanum Week is a sharing activity in which all Samsung employee and many activists participate, and plans to expand various sharing activities such as sharing kiosks to commemorate donations, volunteer activities for local communities, and blood donation campaigns.

💡Hong Namkoong, President & CEO of Samsung Engineering was invited to attend the 7th Future Investment Initiative(FII) conference as a panelist in 'The Synthesis Economy session' held during the third day of the event. During the panel, he explained the future of our industry, and how our EDP(Engineering Data Platform) in combination with AI can provide innovative solutions for clients in the future. He further formulated that AI will complement human work processes, since AI’s strengths is in prediction, while human’s strength is in judgement. He emphasized that Samsung Engineering has transformed our work processes together with AI technology and digital technologies and has already committed 10% in human capital into AI knowledge acquaintance.

🎤The panel was hosted by Eleni Giokos, CNN Anchor & Correspondent and the panel consisted of additional two people in Ayman Alfallaj, THIQAH CEO and Claure Group's Founder & CEO Marcelo Claure.

✨FII was held for three days from October 24th to 26th at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. FII was attended by 5,000 global leaders, government officials, investors, and scholars from each country to readjust the path forward for the global economy, discuss climate, economy, and technology in the new era, and establish challenges, opportunities, and new strategies.

📢 Samsung Engineering announced that its ADNOC Crude Flexibility (CF) Project received a 100% HSE Award at ADNOC’s 7th annual Business Partnership Forum at ADIPEC 2023. The award was received jointly by Samsung Engineering and McDermott (formerly CB&I), who have collaborated on the construction and implementation of the ADNOC CF Project.

👏 The HSE Award demonstrates Samsung Engineering's unwavering commitment to excellence in health, safety and environmental practices within the industry.

Wayne Pearce, Senior Vice President, ADNOC Group HSE, said: “ADNOC’s 100% HSE pledge embodies our commitment to upholding the highest standards of HSE governance and personal and process safety. 📢Samsung Engineering has been received the NoA(Notice of Award) for a FEED(Front End Engineering Design) contract of a PDH(Propane Dehydrogenation), PP(Polypropylene), UTOS(Utilities & Offsite) plant from Alujain National Industrial Co.(LNIC) in Saudi Arabia. This project will take place at the Yanbu Industrial Complex in Medina Province, western Saudi Arabia.

✅Samsung Engineering created a solid business model through its successful implementation of linking FEED to EPC orders, therefore creating another success story for its ‘FEED to EPC’ strategy.
