Le vendredi 10 Mai 2024, une matinée d’initiation à la chirurgie robotique a été organisée pour des résidents provenant de différentes facultés de médecine au Liban et inscrits au Diplôme Universitaire de Chirurgie Laparoscopique et robot assistée décerné par la Faculté de Médecine de l’USJ.

Cette formation est le fruit d’une collaboration entre la Faculté de Médecine de l’USJ et L’HDF avec l’IRCAD - Liban et la société Karl STORZ.

Une série de vidéos de chirurgies robotiques a été diffusée et commentée par Dr. Elie Helou et Dr. Joseph Gharios (HDF). Par la suite, les résidents ont participé à une séance pratique de manipulation du robot par simulation.

In 1996, the dean of the faculty of medicine in USJ sent a young educator to Sherbrooke Canada followed by a team of educators to train in medical education.

This team transformed the way medical education is carried out in FM-USJ and since 2003 they have been training the new generation of medical educators.

Today, this young educator, who became the dean of FM-USJ .usj is handing me the university diploma of medical education.

I am honored today to be part of this passionate family.
