i keep forgetting about this sketch of a moth with a skull pattern and then seeing it and thinking 'damn that's actually pretty good'. do you guys want this as a sticker? i'm thinking of doing a sticker.

i think i can call this done now? i'd like to make a matching pin but the lines might be a little too close for the effect i'm going for with that, plus i probably won't go for a 3d effect on the bezel. there's a version where the wings are engraved though si i can do that instead.

on the topic of journals and sketchbooks, seeing the way others use theirs is fascinating. for me a sketchbook (or sketch page in my journal) is like scratch paper on a math test. but i see a lot of more artisty artists doing finished pieces in their sketchbooks, or making sure to fill out a spread and even add colour in an aesthetically pleasing way. it's so different from how i use and think of mine.

this is one of my oldest designs (though i gave it a shiny new face lift last year) and i'm honestly still pretty happy with it. i hand embroidered it as a patch for my battle vest too. would you want a patch of this? would you want patches in general? get in the comments!

howdy! pre-orders are trucking along so i thought i'd give a little progress report. check it out if you're considering getting one!

don't be surprised that the stickers are doing better than the pins by the way, they're cheaper to make, so the goal is lower, and cheaper to buy, so more people tend to grab one. i expect stickers to be funded by the end of july, while the pins may go into production at the beginning of september!

past me was looking out for me now because i already extracted the lineart from this sketch! it also means that the other ones will be pretty easy.
