The counter top looks clean now, but I have washed off my fingerprints along with the items that filled the cupboards. The kitchen is fully equipped for our guests- ready to feel at home while on holiday.

I don't expect seafood done better anywhere else in the world than in Colombo. Pick your seafood then choose the style you wanted it cooked. I mean, mmmmmm!

It was my first time at the OCEAN at The Kingsbury Colombo.

The Batter Fried Mushroom and Garlic Kang Kung (water spinach) was awesome too.

A city break that is so rich in culture and mesmerising even to us locals. Often we forget and take the city for granted. It's nice to see it through a travellers eyes.

The Colpetty Market in Colombo is a must do while you're . Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere, bargaining with vendors and taking back some ingredients for your 'stay in meal' at the apartment (the mangoes, get the mangoes!). The market is a great place to experience the daily life of the city and food culture.

Our city breaks for years have been, AirBnB's, Entire apartment, self service with plenty of restaurants to try local food. Early nights in with the kids, and days we just stay in to recover from or before a flight.

A hotel room just doesn't work for us anymore. That's why we are making your city break a family friendly one- we get it!

Ever have that feeling you need to cook once in a while, even on holiday? Colombo is full of lovely places to have local and international cuisine, but I prefer the luxury of eating in too (especially when travelling with children). Sati CityZen will be a 2 bedroom apartment with a fully functioning kitchen and washer. A little bit of home while you travel!

Out and about Colombo and we had to stop and stare at the Independence Memorial Hall- a national monument. The construction was to commemorate Sri Lanka's independence from British rule.
The hall and steps are now used as a venue for various national celebrations, protests and events, and it serves as a symbol of Sri Lanka's freedom and sovereignty.

Your future smart holiday home is coming along nicely. It might be March 2024 when it will be ready for guests. Excited to see the progress from now on till completion.

We google mapped breakfast spots in Colombo. No matter what the search brings up, we end up (for lunch too). A photo of the delicious breakfast we had was forgotten (we were that hungry!). So here's just the beautiful flourless cake of a milestone birthday celebrated and the delicious coconut cream coffee.

If it is your first time in Sri Lanka, 'indulging in Colombo' is a must do! The restaurants and cafes will keep you craving till your next visit. Easy to get to when you stay at when we open for guests later this year.

All the restaurants is a favourite for tea and Dinner. The is favourite for the amazing breakfast spread.

I grew up exploring every inch of these hotels waiting for my mother to finish her work. Nostalgia + amazing food = a perfect day in Colombo.

We often love to escape the city, but we also love Colombo City for many reasons! We will open later in 2023 to provide our Sati guests a city experience 🧳. A 'city base' before or after heading to 🌿 or 🌊 ? Sorted!
