No one should have to go hungry, especially in a world with as much wealth as ours. But the sad reality is that more than 821 million people are currently suffering from hunger. That's one in nine people on earth who don't have enough to eat.

Hunger is a complex problem with many root causes, including poverty, conflict, and climate change. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but there are things that we can all do to help bring an end to world hunger — and opportunities to create systemic change.

While you enjoy your closets filled with hundreds of garments and consider discarding your old clothes to the landfill, be aware that many people in your area don't have clothes to wear. Your old garments, which might be destined for the landfill, could become some of the best clothes they'll ever receive. Therefore, we encourage you to donate your old garments instead of sending them to the landfill or burning them. Your contributions can bring smiles to millions of people around the globe.
