“Two matches are to be played. The Bradby Shield shall be awarded each year on the aggregate of points for the two matches”
Here at Trinity College Kandy, we believe what occurred at Pallekelle was a spur of the moment incident and the respect we adhere to the Blue & Gold jersey shall never tarnish. What makes the coveted shield priceless is not its possession but the values that are shared and practised within the two schools. The camaraderie between the School on the Hill and Reid Avenue will continue till the end of time and.

12 overs were ruled out of the day's play due to bad light. Duvindu Sachin Tillakaratne and Raveen Sanjaya surpassed 100 wickets on the first day whilst Shanogeeth Shanmuganathan joined the 1000 run club.
It was indeed a remarkable day at Pallekalle today as two Lions Raveen Sayer and Duvindu Tillakaratne dismantled the Anthonian batting lineup single handedly claiming 5 and 4 wickets each, simultaneously reaching the prestigious 100 wicket milestone together. Captain Raveen Sayer surpassed this most sought after number for the third consecutive year, making him the only player in history to do so. Raveen has cemented his place as one of the most consistent and feared bowlers ever seen in Sri Lankan schools cricket.Young opening batsman Shanogeeth Shanmuganathan also surpassed the 1000 run mark, making him the third batsman to do so in this year's team, along with Vice Captain Nushan Weerasinghe and Wicketkeeper Dilan Jayalath. This is the first time in history that 3 players have surpassed the 1000 run mark and 2 players have achieved the magical 100 wickets in a single school season. Congratulations from everyone at Trinity Cricket and thank you to everyone who made this possible, including the coaches, fans and teachers. We wish our little lions all the best of luck for day 2 of the big match tomorrow. Bring it home!
