Our BSc Psychology students recently had an enriching field visit to the National Institute of Mental Health. This insightful experience allowed them to gain practical knowledge in mental health and clinical psychology, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application.

During the visit, our students had the opportunity to observe various clinical approaches, interact with professionals in the field, and understand the day-to-day operations of a mental health facility. This hands-on exposure was invaluable in developing their hard skills and enhancing their practical understanding of the subject.

These types of industry visits are a part of our curriculum, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for the complexities of their future careers in psychology.

In today's fast-paced world, finding inner peace can be challenging, but mindfulness offers a solution. By concentrating on the present moment and accepting your thoughts and feelings without judgment, mindfulness can bring tranquility to your life.

Today, RIC students participated in a session titled "Discovering Inner Peace - Enhance Your Daily Life with Mindfulness," led by Ven. Battaramulle Amadassana Thero. This session was invaluable for students feeling overwhelmed by exams and deadlines, providing a much-needed break to calm their minds amidst their busy lives.

Today, we had the privilege of hosting an engaging and hands-on STEM workshop on wind power for high school students on our campus.

We're thrilled to share that we recently made a heartfelt donation through the Royal Institute of Colombo, supporting our ongoing efforts to assist mentally ill patients.

This initiative was organized by our dedicated undergraduates from the BSc Psychology programme as part of our CSR activities during Poya week.

Our donation included essential items such as clothing, sanitary products, towels, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and food products. We believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference, and we are committed to contributing to the well-being of our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and participated in making this donation possible. Together, we can continue to bring hope and support to those in need
