DESTINATION DISEASE

Too many of us suffer from Destination Disease. A lot of us, after graduation, will never read an entire book for the rest of our life. One reason is, we see learning as a period of life instead of a way of life. We think that because we have a degree or get a job we should stop. No matter one's age, God never created us to reach one level and stop. We should constantly be learning, improving our skills, and getting better at what we do. We have to take responsibility for our growth. Growth is not automatic.

What are you doing to get better? Are you reading books? Are you listening to educational CDs, or are you taking courses on the Internet? Going to seminars? Do you have a mentor? Are you learning from people that know more than you?

Don't slink through life relying on what you've already learned. You have a treasure on the inside. You have talent, skill, and potential given to you by God, but it isn't automatically going to come out. It has to be developed.

The worthiest places on earth are not the oil field of the Middle East, nor the diamond mines of South Africa, the worthiest places are the cemeteries. Buried in the ground are businesses that were never formed, songs that were never sung, books that were never written, potentials that were never realized, dreams that never came to pass, don't let that be you, don't go to the grave with your treasures still in you. Keep growing, keep learning.

Whatever you do get better at it, sharpen your skills, and don't you dare be in the same place next year as you are right now. There are too many opportunities to learn, there is more knowledge available today than at any time in history. We have no excuse to not improve. We don't even have to go to the library like in the old days, we don't have to even interact with the universities, and the internet comes right into our living rooms. It wasn't created just to share pictures, witness movies, that's all fine, but it is a tool to help us increase. You have a responsibility, not only to God, not only to your family, but owe it to yourself to develop what God has put in you.

People have gone to where you're going, listen to them. Take at least 15 minutes a day. Turn off the TV. Learn what you are doing and invest in yourself. You should be doing something integral to improve yourself. Stop the excuses, you have too much in you to be where you are.

Every time we say "God, I'm waiting, God, I'm waiting", let me tell you, it is only prepared people that God gives those big breaks. You have to take proactive steps so that God will see your preparedness. If He sees you developing what He has put in you, then He will open doors that no man can close.

Learn to be a problem solver. If you want to grow and be promoted anywhere, present solutions. Many of us need to be set free from Destination Disease, with that, we will be able to improve to get to our destinations. I remember the most popular students back in school were never the smart students, they were either troublemakers, playing sports, or on the quizzing team. Twenty years later, they longer matter. Some call you boss, CEO, etc.

Life is too short to limit yourself. Many of us are not growing because of our circles. We've limited ourselves to surroundings that keep us from growing. Circle yourself with people and things that inspire you to grow, realize your potential, or fulfill your dreams.

God has placed everything in you to reach your destination. Develop it. Use just 15 minutes of your 24 hours every day to develop yourself.

APPROVAL ADDICTION

In this world, there're too many people against you, stop being against yourself. You can't like others when you don't like yourself. You admire others way too much than you admire yourself. You need to fix your relationship with yourself.

If you were perfect in everything, do you think you could've looked to God for anything? Our weakness is our path to God.

Past mistakes and negative thoughts can't move you forward. Start being for you. Nobody can do you then you can do yourself.

APPROVAL ADDICTION:

We're stopping our growth, because we've being under the shadow of what someone says, thinks and feels about us. The people we associate with; at our workplaces, communities or homes are limiting our potentials. Let's evaluate our circles.

We need people that inspire us to do better, to live right, or encourage us to grow. We can't live fully when we are addicted to others opinion and approval. It only leads us to living with negative voices, negative thoughts, and defeated mindsets.

Live to appreciate and approve yourself and stop living to please others.

Still diving into APPROVAL ADDICTION.

You can't be dependent on what others think about you. Not everyone going to like you out there.

Look! God never formed a committee, or a group chat when he thought of creating you. HE neither talk to others about your destiny, if HE does, HE will tell you.

It's good to stop thinking what others may be thinking, or saying about you. You're spending too much of your time trying to perform for people. I am not saying you should avoid or shouldn't take advices, or be disrespectful to people.

Advice and Manipulation are two different things. Advice serves as motivation from other people, while manipulation is being influenced by others to doing what they want.

Stop living at the approval of people.

APPROVAL ADDICTION

The case with many young people, especially ladies.

A lot of us are suffering from Approval Addiction. We are often living at others approval. "Ba ur cloth fine", "ur lashes cute", "u lok gud", "ba do tis", "ba don do dat". Because we want others approval, we do the worst things to please them. Ladies, stop living to please others. Live to please God and yourself.

ETIQUETTE for LADY:

1. Keep the smile: people like happy people. It doesn't matter if they do not smile back at you.

2. Keep your words: always say something and stand by it, it doesn't matter if it's a debt or promise. Let your "NO", "YES", "I WILL", or "I WILL NOT" be it.

3. Try to look adequate to the setting: overdressing, too many jewelries, and too much make-ups make you look like you're trying too hard to impress. If you vale yourself, you can easily look your best by wearing adequate clothing, well-trimmed nails, and just the right amount of accessories.

4. Look at the person speaking to you: it's tempting to look down, at your phone or out of the window while someone talks to you.

5. Put your phone down: checking emails, messages, calls, Facebook, messenger, Whatsapp etc should have its time. At a gathering, meeting or event, leave your phone aside. It shows how much you value people.

6. Push in your chair: while you leave your table push in your chair.
