Join us for a life-saving and compassionate event – Blood Donation! 🩸 Be a hero and make a difference in the lives of those in need.

📅 Date: 18th of May (Thursday)
🕖 Time: 3 PM
📌 Location: CUP (Upės g. 9) (4th floor)

Keep in mind that you can donate blood only if you:

🔸Slept enough;
🔸Drank a lot of fluids;
🔸Ate breakfast and lunch;
🔸Didn't smoke;
🔸Didn't consume any alcoholic beverages on the evening/night and on the day of the donation;
🔸Didn't eat any spicy, fatty, hard-to-digest foods;
🔸Didn't work at night;
🔸And only if you're bringing a good mood with you!
🔸The person must weigh at least 50 kg.
🔸It is mandatory to have an ID with you (passport, identity card, or a driver's license).
🔸At least 3 to 4 months should pass after getting a tattoo
🔸If you’re not on your period

Did you know that in Europe, 40% of students experience mental health issues?😟 Did you know that approximately one in five of them struggles with mental ilnesess?😱

If not addressed, many of these issues can affect the day-to-day activities of study, progression, success, participation in social life and activities. They can also continue in adulthood and become an issue for people’s personal and professional lives.🙇‍♂️

That is why finding the right coping mechanism is so important‼️ These are our suggestions of how to keep your mental health sharp and calm:

🔸1. MOVEMENT🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️. Download health tracking app and enjoy a short walk while listening to your favorite music. Your body and mind will thank you!🤩

🔸2. QUALITY SLEEP😪💤. Make an experiment: this week go to bed earlier, sleep 7-8h/night and see your brain and mind getting less tired and dizzy during the day! You’ve got this!🙌

🔸3. STAYING CONNECTED. 🫂👥This weekend plan something with your friends – have a cookout, go to a paintball game, have a photography session, or do a hike together. We tend to wait for others to invite us. Be the superhero and take initiative!🦹‍♂️🦸‍♀️

🔸4. STICKING TO HEALTHY HABITS🥬🥦. Catch yourself doing a habit that doesn’t serve you in a long-term and ask yourself what am I truly seeking: is it sense of control and stability, ways to escape loneliness or even yourself?💭

🔸5. PRACTISING GRATITUDE. 🙏Think of 10 things that you’re grateful for today.✨

🔸6. CONTROLLING YOUR THOUGHTS. 🤔Catch yourself thinking negative thoughts and change them by adding “yet”: “I can’t play a piano like Michael does yet, but I will improve”, “I don’t understand statistics yet, but with my dedication I will learn it.” Give it a try!😉

🔸7. SEEKING PROFESSIONAL HELP❗️☝️. Vilnius University provides four free psychological counseling sessions for students. For more information check out Vilnius univeristy web page🤗
