Today in Kyiv, Kestutis and DOP Ramūnas Greičius are attending the premiere of the Czech (Bio Illusion), Ukrainian (Insightmedia), and Artbox's co-produced film "The Man Who Stood in the Way" (Muz, který stál v ceste).
The film tells the story of how the Soviet army invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968 to suppress the Prague Spring and how the Czechoslovak government resisted.

Today, "There's Something in the Barn" hits movie theatres across Lithuania.
We're sharing some pics from a couple of weeks ago when we had a screening of this film for the amazing Lithuanian cast and crew, with whom we had the pleasure of working together on this awesome horror comedy.

We're one week away from finishing the shooting of "NR.24" in Lithuania. Executive producer Espen Horn had some thoughts to share about working in Lithuania:

"When we look for locations outside of Norway, we often look for something that could look Nordic or like Norway. Parts of Lithuania, and in particular the major cities, do look like Oslo and have, in ways, a similar architecture. In addition, we also find spectacular locations and locations that could go back to the early 19th century and even back to medieval times.

In addition, there is some economy of scale to go to Lithuania, and the country has an intriguing and very competitive incentive scheme.

And last but not least, we always look for a place to shoot where we find both pleasant and skillful people. It is a rare combination and something we at Motion Blur value highly. And we find that in Lithuania with Artbox. People we trust with their talent and skill and at the same time can enjoy a nice meal after shooting."

Film Muž, který stál v cestě premiered yesterday in Prague. Film's DOP Ramunas Greicius and co-producer Kestutis Drazdauskas attended the event in a magical venue.

The story of "The Man Who Stood in the Way" is based on true events - Soviet troops invade Czechoslovakia and take the government to Moscow, where they are forced to sign a document legitimising the occupation. As the Soviets increase the pressure, all members of the Czechoslovak government sign one by one, with the exception of one, František Kriegel.

Congratulations to all the international Czech, Ukrainian, and Lithuanian crew who made this movie happen! ❤️

Justė made her cinematic debut as a composer in the movie "The Sign Painter" also directed by Viesturs Kairišs. We're thrilled, that their second collaboration was noticed and nominated for this award.

Rūta's exceptional work on this movie was already noticed by the Latvian National Cinema Awards Lielais Kristaps, where she won the Best Costume Artist at this year's awards.

The film's sound atmosphere was created with the support of compositions by Latvian rock and experimental bands of the time, original TV and radio broadcasts, authentic recordings from gatherings and barricades in Riga, and sound from documentary footage shot by Juris Podnieks. According to Jonas, these details make this movie's soundtrack very authentic.
