General Overview of Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the unloading of waste from Bulky Waste Carrier, noting the material unloaded and passing the information to the Site Leader;
- Reporting any issues with Bulky Waste Carriers to the Site Leader;
- Monitoring the loading of material by contractors and WEEE Schemes and passing information to the Site Leader;
- Replace the Site leader when not available;

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical and electro-mechanical equipment including power and automated control systems, motor control equipment.

The selected candidate will be expected to:
• To manage electrical equipment, covering upgrades, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting, rated at various levels (1P+N 230VAC, 3P+N 400VAC, 12VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC).

Vacancy open for Head of Shift!

General Overview of Responsibilities:

- Organisation of work schedules for the daily smooth operation of the plant, including the daily plant supervision and fault reporting procedures;
- Distributing work-load to the operatives, supervisors and loaders working in the plant, including those working at the Autoclave;
- Recording and reporting of irregularities;
- Report in writing any faulty equipment;
- Take diesel reading at the beginning and end of shift;
- Take water and electricity readings;
- Check bottom ash container and report to superiors if it needs to be emptied. This has to be done first thing in the morning so as to set up logistics;
- Prepare waste to be incinerated during the day shift and also during the following night;
- Ensure that the facility (both the upper and lower levels) are kept clean from blood and any other waste;
- Liaising with SCADA Operators regarding the required waste streams to be loaded into the incinerator and prepare material accordingly;
- Keeping check on any emissions exceedances and providing support to the SCADA Operators accordingly;
- Ensure that full bins are stored in rows according to the respective waste stream;
- Carrying out basic fixes in emergencies during the night shifts;
- Responsible from the H&S of all the employees under his/her responsibility;
Must ensure that the employees are wearing the proper PPE as dictated in the procedures;
- Compile the Incident Report in case of an incident on site during his/her shift;
- Monitor and record the temperatures of the main fridge on a daily basis;
- Ensure that sodium bicarbonate, Urea and activated carbon are delivered to the Incinerator from stores as required, and in preparation for night shifts
- Fill in check lists (such as but not limited to, the daily cleaning sheets TTF067; TTF068, ERA Emissions Report TTF019, etc);
- Compile the Daily Report (TTF010) as the end of the shift and send it to his/her superiors and other Head of Shifts;
- Attend all obligatory training as required by the company in order to be able to fulfil the role whilst obtaining the relevant knowledge, skills and techniques.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Must have an MQF Level 5 qualification and 1 year experience in a supervisory role in an industrial environment;
OR
- Must have an MQF Level 4 qualification and 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role;
OR
- Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in a Supervisory role;

Moreover the selected candidate,
- Must be IT competent and proficient in both Maltese and English;
- Must Have knowhow of operating heavy plant and a meticulous approach towards safety;
- SCADA knowledge and a keen eye to detail will be considered as an asset;
