Hello everyone!
We are Malta4Ukraine, an officially registered foundation in Ukraine.

Our foundation is a family affair – in Ukraine, it is overseen by my brother Sasha. I’m Katya, and my husband is Anthony. Together, we are dedicated to making a positive impact in our community.

As we bid farewell to 2023, I am reaching out on behalf of Malta4Ukraine to express our deepest gratitude for the tremendous generosity and unwavering support you've extended to our cause over the past two years.

Your invaluable contributions have played a pivotal role in our journey to provide aid and assistance through our three main priorities, with a particular focus on Army & Civilian Assistance, Medication & Surgical Support, and Transportation Costs. Malta4Ukraine has strived to make a meaningful impact in these crucial areas, and your support has been instrumental in our success.

Allow me to provide you with a brief overview of the impact we've collectively achieved between 2022 and 2023:

Army & Civilian Assistance

Over 13% of the monetary donations received were directed towards aiding Army & Civilian Assistance. In addition, we successfully delivered over 4.9 tons of essential supplies encompassing food, baby items, sanitary articles, cleansing products, thermal clothing (new), blankets (new), towels (new), electronic equipment, and more. This amounted to 437 boxes distributed to various Ukrainian organizations throughout the country.

Medication & Surgical Support

Slightly over 12% of the monetary donations were allocated to the purchase of Medication & Surgical Support, resulting in the delivery of over 0.7 tons of vital supplies. This included medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, food/hydration supplements, vitamins, medical and surgical equipment. Notably, in addition private donors contributed significantly, with one individual donating over €2,800 in medications, and a local company generously providing over €135,000 in vitamins and food/hydration supplements.

Transportation & Other Related Expenses

A substantial portion, slightly over 73% of the monetary donations, supported transportation costs and other related expenses. Throughout 2022 and 2023, we successfully delivered over 8.0 tons of much-needed donations within Ukraine via two main routes, covering a total of 7,506km (both ways) via Germany and 7,772km (both ways) via Austria. These routes involved ferry crossings and transit to the Ukrainian border, excluding additional driving within Ukraine.

Your generous contributions have been the driving force behind our ability to fulfill our mission. Without your support, Malta4Ukraine would have remained a dream, and countless organizations and individuals in Ukraine would not have received the crucial assistance they needed.

Looking ahead to 2024, we are excited to announce our fourth priority—Mental Health Advocacy. This addition reflects our ongoing commitment to addressing diverse needs and challenges within the community.

On behalf of the Ukrainian organizations and individuals we've assisted within Ukraine, and from the core of our hearts, we extend our sincere thanks for standing with us over the past two years. 💙💛On Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 18:30 in front of the Triton Fountain in Valletta members of the Ukrainian community in Malta are gathering for an event dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine and the celebration of the Ukrainian Flag Day.

The program of the event will include cultural performances (singing, dancing, poetry reading) by the community representatives, as well as speeches from the community activists and volunteers.
The guest of honour, Mr.Lorenzo Vella, the Head of the European Commission Representation in Malta will give a short speech as part of the opening of the event.

We invite Maltese people and guests of Malta to attend the event and share an important event together with Ukrainians.

Malta for Ukraine Malta4Ukraine, is a Private Fundraiser, directly assisting multiple Ukrainian Voluntary & Non- Profit Organizations situated within Ukraine, who are currently assisting Ukrainians during this difficult period they are going through.

What we have been doing during February, March & April - 2023 ...



During February, March & April - 2023, we mainly focused on making sure to deliver various babies/ children medications and medical equipment with Ukrainian soil.

Successfully, we had 2 successful trips where these donations were trusted in the hands of an organization within Ukraine, to be distributed accordingly and where mostly needed.

Some these donations reached Pavlohrad, a Ukrainian city situated within central east. The following city is currently hosting numerous displaced children, where eventually they are feeling both safer and happier. Also, immigrants and military personnel are constantly arriving and being hospitalised. The city council are welcoming all displaced Ukrainians and assisting the best way they can.

Another lot of donations, mainly medical equipment where successfully delivered to the emergency hospital situated in Dnipro and handed to the Polytrauma Department.

Undoubtedly the following donations did help those mostly in need and hopefully did make a positive impact on the community.
On a separate note, Malta4Ukraine would like to thank one of the donators of the following lot, Ms. Maria Bugeja (Saint James Hospital) & friends, together with all other donators whom one way or another where a part of all this.

It is inspiring to see individuals come together to make a difference!

However our journey does not stop here. Help us, help those in need within Ukraine and that all our efforts will continue to inspire others to do what they can, to help others within their communities and beyond.

Even to do something small with a big heart, Malta4Ukraine needs a lot of people. People who donate, people to purchase necessary medications & medical equipment and volunteers who are responsible and to successfully deliver within Ukraine to the rightful organizations.
Last January we were not able to go to Ukraine by ourselves, but thanks Mr. Roman (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1114699229064165/?ref=share) we successfully delivered 2 large boxes within Ukraine, of which consisted medications & medical equipment and new thermal clothing.
🙏🏻Thank you guys for having assisted us and for having driven all the way up to Ukraine from Malta.
We know it is not easy, as we've done it quite a few times ourselves too!😉

In November our main focus was to collect money, with the aim to purchase winter thermal clothing for the Ukrainian Army.

Thank you .angeli , who on 01/11/2022 open their doors for business as usual, however decided that all sales for the day went all as a donation of which with other Ukrainian Donators they collected a total of €1,000. From this donation we purchased a Total of €1,033 thermal clothing for the Ukrainian Military.

On another note, we successfully purchased a Bullet proof Vest & x2 sets of ceramic plates (30 cms by 25 cms) worth close to €870 and through the help of our friends from it was delivered and successfully taken and handed within the front- line.

As part of the GLOBAL CAMPAIGN for the ANNIVERSARY of the FULL-SCALE INVASION OF RUSSIA IN UKRAINE, a peaceful rally "Ukrainian victory is the whole world's victory" will be held.

Event plan:
1. On the morning of Friday, February 24th, there is a joint sharing on social networks with a thematic video showing the beginning of a full-scale invasion (link to the video will be added later).
2. On February 24, at 6:00 p.m., a flash mob "living map of Ukraine" will be held in Valletta near the Parliament of the participants of the action, who will hold lit flashlights in their hands
(in case of insufficient number of people, we will simply stand close to each other).
The flashlights will need to be sealed with blue or yellow tape, thus reproducing the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
3. After the flash mob, there will be a procession through Valletta with a big flag.
4. At approximately 19.00-19.15 at the Triton fountain, the end of the procession and a general assembly for the speech.
5. Take flags or as always you can have a flag on your shoulders.

In October we once again we started collecting monetary gifts and useful / needed donations, as to once again will make another trip to Ukraine, which will will costs us on average €2,600/ €2,800 of which includes ferry charges, tolls and fuel. On average 3.5/ 4.5 tons of donations are delivered everytime.

Dear Community!

As many of you are already aware that Malta is accepting our military for prosthetics this year.

With support of Operation Renew Prosthetics (ORP), the Future for Ukraine charity foundation (FFU) and the Government of Malta, the annual prosthetics programme kicks off. Coordinating and organizing the program in Malta will be supported by Foundation for the Ukrainian Community of Malta (FUCM), fundraising and funding will be carried out by the Malta for Ukraine foundation.
In total, 24 warrior with amputations will be accepted within a year.
You know that home and walls heal, but our soldiers will be here, far from their families and Ukraine, and WE need to create conditions for them to feel at home!!!

The first two will arrive on Sunday, January 22.

Financing prosthesis, flight, etc. etc. takes on the FFU fund, but they, more precisely our soldiers, need our community's help.

The warriors will stay in the hotel, but prosthesis and rehabilitation will take place at Karin Grech hospital, Pieta. For the first week we already have a volunteer translator, but for the next 3 weeks we will need your help. The boys will need to be taken to treatment and helped them communicate with doctors, meaning to be translators. We really need volunteers with cars and knowledge of English, one or the other.

It is also necessary to provide our guests with full meals. I know many of the women in our community are great housewives and delicious cooks so if you're willing to contribute it would be greatly appreciated.
