Our student athletes have once again proven their mettle on the international stage! 🥳🎉

At the recent ASEAN University Games 2024, our champions brought home a remarkable haul of 7 medals: 🥇🥇 2 Gold, 🥈🥈🥈 3 Silver, and 🥉🥉 2 Bronze!

🏊 Hii Puong Wei from Sarawak attained two golds in the 200m Breaststroke and the 4x200m Freestyle Relay, while also securing three more medals – a silver in the 200m Individual Medley, and bronzes in both the 100m Breaststroke and the 4x100m Medley Relay!

🏀 Wan Yu Hong from Selangor secured two silver medals for Malaysia in both Basketball 5x5 and Basketball 3x3, contributing significantly to the team’s success.

We are beyond proud of these athletes, who have brought immense pride and glory to Malaysia. 🇲🇾

APU eSports made history with our inaugural InterVarsity Valorant Tournament! 24 teams from 18 Malaysian universities battled it out for an RM5,000 prize pool. 🏆✨

Our talented students James, Johnson, and Ng have made APU proud by winning a Gold Medal at ITEX'24 for their groundbreaking project, WayangWayang 2.0. 🥇🙌

This innovative project combines traditional shadow puppetry with technology, preserving Malaysia's cultural heritage while embracing the future.🎉

By integrating AI with cultural preservation, they hope to educate the future generation about forgotten traditions and foster a stronger bond with Malaysian heritage. 🇲🇾🫶🏻

Four of our Software Engineering students made an incredible impact at HackINSAN 2024, a 24-hour hackathon hosted by Permata Insan College, Islamic Science University of Malaysia! 🎉

Their innovative solution, PemTeach—a teacher support tool enhancing volunteer teachers' capabilities in underserved areas—secured them an overall 3rd place and 1st place in the Pemuda GEMA Problem Statement! 🥉🏆

Despite it being their first 24-hour competition, their dedication and teamwork shined through, earning them RM750 in cash prizes and certificates! 💪💼

Just wrapped the DMU Summer School at De Montfort University, and it was Awesome! 😜🙌 🇬🇧

From July 22nd to August 1st, our APU students from around the world explored diverse topics like AI & carbon literacy, enjoyed industry visits, and even explored Harry Potter Studios! ⚡️

Through interactive sessions, cultural excursions, and fun social events, students broadened their horizons, networked with peers, and immersed themselves in British life. 🇬🇧

Many highlighted the friendships formed and the valuable insights gained as significant takeaways from their time at DMU Summer School. 🥰🫶🏻

On 16 August 2024, the School of Media, Arts, and Design (SoMAD) hosted a fun-filled bonding event, SoMAD Sukaneka at our campus. 🎉

Staff and students came together for a day packed with lively activities that encouraged everyone to connect and build a sense of community. The event featured friendly competitions that challenged agility, speed, and teamwork, while breaking down formal barriers and creating a relaxed atmosphere. 💫

APU's Asia Pacific Centre of Robotics Engineering (APCoRE) has secured an €800,000 Erasmus+ grant for the Agricultural Revitalisation in Higher Education Institutions of Asian Countries (AGRHI) project!🌱

The AGRHI project will collaborate with 11 partners across Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, and Europe to enhance agricultural education and innovation across Asia.💯

By fostering knowledge sharing, AGRHI aims to address agricultural challenges and drive sustainable growth. This EU-funded initiative marks a significant step towards a brighter future for farming in the region.🌏

The PayNet & APU Hackathon 2024 wrapped up with amazing results! This collaboration with PayNet brought together bright minds to tackle real-world financial challenges. Over 30 teams participated, with innovative ideas ranging from digital payments to cybersecurity. 🥳🎉
