Hello, this is one of our new born, MITSU by two chefs. Rather than adhere strictly to the traditional Zen-inspired aesthetic of Japanese restaurants, we’ve opted for a fusion of raw construction materials and fine finishes.

The choice of rusted metals and cement textures juxtaposed with brown leather and wooden furniture creates a visual narrative that draws inspiration from the culinary creativity and presentation found in Mistu’s dishes.

Our aim is to elevate the dining experience by combining traditional Japanese flavors with a modern, inviting ambiance that reflects the innovative spirit of the chefs and their menu.

In doing so, we invite diners to explore a new perspective on Japanese cuisine, one that embraces both the familiar and the unexpected.

KANSO . Residential
Kanso is a Japanese aesthetic principle that means "simplicity" or "eliminating clutter". It is a key concept in Japandi design and emphasizes the beauty of simplicity and the importance of creating a peaceful and uncluttered environment. This interior space exudes a sense of tranquility, warmth, and cleanliness, all brought to life by a perfect blend of Minimalist and Japandi design elements.The space is dominated by the use of walnut wood and cream colors, which create a natural, soothing backdrop for the entire space.

Can you spot the television in the living room? With its unobtrusive design, it seamlessly blends in with the decor, enhancing the space's beauty. The Frame TV by Samsung is a TV that doubles as a work of art. When not in use, it displays a range of artworks, photographs, and customizable designs that blend seamlessly with any living space. Its sleek design and advanced technology also ensure an immersive viewing experience. The walls are also adorned with a simple console and a cute lego potted plant that bring out the characteristics of the house owner into the room.

Along the pathway leading to the bedrooms, there is a window opening that connects the kitchen area to the living area with a flipping serving top. This innovative design encourages an open and flexible atmosphere, especially during gatherings with friends and family. The kitchen area also features with a stunning seashell terrazzo table top, which serves as the key feature of the kitchen. As you step into the bedroom, the double leaf swing door immediately captures your attention with its stunning rusty copper printed lamination surfaces, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the space.

The room is a refined and serene haven, where every element has been thoughtfully chosen to create a sense of balance and harmony. The bed frame is a true work of art, crafted from the same warm walnut wood as the full wooden wardrobe on the left wall. Its minimalist design and clean lines reflect the Kanso principle of aesthetics, while its natural beauty and warmth perfectly embody Japandi design. The bed is beautifully complemented by the two round wall lights on the bedhead wall, casting a soft and soothing glow that contributes to the room's peaceful ambiance.

VIGERE . Residential
Pulsing with an electric undercurrent of energy while effortlessly combining retro vibes with sleek modern furnishings, Vigere is our latest design concept created to reflect its owner’s zest for life. An abstract design clock blends in with pop culture figurines without being kitschy, as an artfully stacked tower of men’s sneakers are displayed in all their multicoloured glory - a testament to a space well lived in yet so meticulously curated as to breathe art into everyday life.

Simultaneously masculine and retro chic, Vigere was carefully curated to put the spotlight on its owner’s energy and enthusiasm for sports, music and fashion all while balancing retro and futuristic elements. More than just a luxury bachelor’s pad, it sets the perfect stage for a night in on the PS5 with the boys yet remains suave enough to impress any and all guests. Monochrome and stainless steel accents are balanced out by clean white spaces as raw wood furniture crafted from sturdy marine plywood and terrazzo surfaces keeps the overall look dynamic and fun. Black leather sofas and couches add just enough of a touch of luxurious mystery to the space without overwhelming it while wooden flooring lends warmth and a sense of homey comfort. Much like the exquisite natural beauty of the marine plywood used throughout Vigere’s design concept, the natural grain still shines through and delivers premium feel and aesthetics. The result? A polished yet practical look that’s not posh and pretentious. Vigere is not about going with the flow - it’s about taking something classic and making it your own, injecting a sense of vigour into it for a home that’s more than just another cool kid on the block.

LAID-BACK INDUSTRIAL MEETS HOMELY COSY
Designed specially for renowned Malaysian YouTuber Musang King Channel , this office space was crafted with casual, comfy and trendy in mind to reflect the team at Musang King Channel’s creativity and love for fun. Enter and you’ll be greeted with a warm industrial design with touches of informal cosy that will remind you of home.

Harmonizing the industrial concepts of matte black metal railings and cement flooring with the use of warm off-white in large spaces, light-coloured wooden features and overall minimalistic design, it instantly gives the office a modern look with a trendy, welcoming vibe.

This concept is elevated in the waiting area with an eye-catching Durian-shaped wall feature inspired by Musang King Channel’s logo. The seating area features a raised design and cosy light-wooden flooring and upon gazing up, a wooden plank ceiling decor with the same shade envelopes and completes the area. The same modern cosy vibe is brought into the Meeting Room and Production Team’s office where it is further enhanced with modern, energy-efficient T5 ceiling lights that lights up the room with the right amount of warmth.

Zooming into the Production Team’s office, it is undoubtedly the space with the most unique design where a mixture of lighting are used together like trendy Neon lights, LED lights and industrial T5 ceiling lighting to give the room a creative, productive yet warm feel to it.

The marriage of two seemingly opposite concepts creates a balance in the environment, evoking a sense of friendly sombre that is needed ever more so in today’s working environment.

简约时尚的轻工业 x 居家风
这一次很荣幸为大马著名 YouTuber Musang King Channel 设计他们的新工作室。众所周知，MKC的团队很着重与欢乐、创意和专业工作精神；为了带出MKC的团队精神，设计师选择了一个轻松但不失时尚感的工作环境，巧妙地运用了简约的轻工业和暖和的居家风的结合，让整个空间都代表着MKC。

踏进工作室的第一步便会被端庄的哑光黑铁和无时水泥地吸引，并且带出了轻工业的美感；
同时，室内也大量利用了奶白色和浅木色的简约风格，家具和设计来制造居家的感觉。

转眼把目光放到接待区室内的主墙上会注意到一个不规则的榴莲形墙饰；
这独一无二的墙饰启发点来自于 Musang King Channel 的标志，同时也融入了室内整体时尚不失大气的风格。
再往摆座和顶峰的木片设计看，空前也显出了一致的现代，简约气氛。走向会议室和制作组的办公区，顶峰则采用了节能又光效高的T5灯光。

室内比较突出的空间非制作组的办公区莫属了；
这空间利用了不同种类的灯光如氖灯，顶峰T5灯光和彩色LED 灯来营造一个充满创意感的氛围，也完美表达和符适 Musang King Channel 制作组对创意的态度。

这设计体现了把两个相反的风格混合一起，也能创造出不一样却无缝的设计风格，完美的表现一个空间该有的平衡。

ELEMENTAL RHAPSODY
Nature's song is one of the harmonious balance between all elements - and that's exactly what our Elemental Rhapsody design concept seeks to recreate. Light furnishings and glass panels give the illusion of the gentle swirling form of water while marbled interiors blend seamlessly with the natural grain of wooden flooring in this serene haven where light and dark comfort the senses in equal measure.

Marbled interiors and furnishings punctuated by dark wooden walls and greenery in the form of a carefully-tended rock garden give off the essence of an otherworldly zen garden. Despite the palette of greys and neutral tones, the look remains cohesive without being monotonous thanks to the myriad textures used. From rippled glass and metallic furnishings, to the soft plushness of velvet on the upholstered bed and swirls of marble, each element comes together in the perfect balance of hardness and softness. Furniture such as modular couches and a padded bedroom set in heather grey give off a minimalist luxe look with their softness while creating a good amount of contrast against their surrounding decor. Orb-like chandelier lights dangle from the ceiling in one room while in another, an elegant light fixture twirls downwards providing both illumination and dynamic movement in the stillness of the otherwise zen-like interior. Like Nature, Elemental Rhapsody seeks to keep the balance in all things with the use of a variety of materials, textures and shapes, but its message remains the same: to seek calmness in the midst of movement and light in the darkness.

Stay Space

TACIT
True style needs no explanation and that’s exactly how it is with the Tacit design concept. Its rustic down-to-earth aesthetics and neutral shades pay homage to the beauty in the imperfection of daily life through an abundance of wood and rattan furnishings as well as its earthy palette of browns, greys and beiges.

Tacit combines mid-century interior design with the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, resulting in a minimalistic yet homely feel thanks to its clean lines, gentle curves and more organic shapes. The furniture and furnishings showcase an elegant simplicity and timeless aesthetic that marries form with function and comfort while the natural shades, textures and materials add warmth to the space. Maple floors and walnut cabinets present a distinct yet natural contrast akin to a variety of trees in a forest while the walls go from soft taupe to bright wheat brown depending on the space. Hints of black on metal fixtures and gauzy white curtains help balance out the mostly neutral colour palette, while doorways and beams are softened with curved edges - altogether resulting in a more dynamic look and additional depth while still maintaining the concept’s minimal appearance. The decor is likewise kept minimalist with earthenware pottery filled with pampas grass, marble side tables and plenty of throws, cushions and rugs in single neutral shades to inject more cosiness into the space while also adding a soothing touch of nature into our modern life. The Tacit concept is by no means loud, instead it whispers of simple comforts as evidenced by its relaxing palette and use of curves throughout the interior.

URBANE
Simple yet sophisticated, cosy yet modern chic, polished yet oozing with the verve of the city - our Urbane design concept proves that less is more if you’re aiming for the ideal balance of practicality and fuss-free beauty. Every inch of this luxe residence seeks to encapsulate lifestyle and travel influencer May Ho’s bold and youthful personal style.
For the Urbane’s clean, crisp look, we play with plenty of natural light, neutral walls and simple lighting to keep it as visually calm as possible. Clean silhouettes in soft cream present a stark yet satisfying contrast against dark walnut wood accents in a seamless combination of nature and architecture. But even in the heart of a cement jungle, you’ll find a splash of vibrant colour to balance out the sharpness - just like the punchy pop of vermillion that lends a dash of warmth to the bedroom and built-in wardrobe. Industrial lighting fixtures in classy gold also give the overall space a sleeker, more luxurious feel while retaining its edgy feel. To prevent the monotony of a neutral palette, we tweaked the all-white purity of the kitchen area with a terrazzo countertop for the perfect balance of playfulness and minimalist calmness resulting in a home with an aesthetic that’s as timelessly versatile as May’s personal style.

BLUSHED
Comfort and class collide in a cosy palette of soft earth tones interspersed with blush pinks that warm the heart and soothe the eyes. Our Blushed concept combines elements of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian design to get the perfect balance of aesthetics and functionality.
The Blushed concept features plenty of natural furnishings ranging from sleek wood to rattan details as well as terrazzo for a subtle dash of fun and colour. Adhering to a minimalist palette of earthy browns and pinks doesn’t have to be basic either - a hidden pop of raw umber on an arched doorway can work wonders in livening up your space without going over the top, while monochrome light furnishings and metal hardware seamlessly blend into the mix for a rustic touch. The key to its cohesiveness remains in the play of light and textures - sleek wood, speckled terrazzo, fluted wall panels and soft gauzy curtains paired with heavier drapes in darker shades all come together harmoniously for a house that feels like home.
