Let's Have Fun/Jom Bersukaria is an event that aims to raise awareness of social inclusion. It is a gathering of young and old to empower communities to embrace diversity.
Many thanks to Aurelius Hospital, Poliklinik Abi, Best Hearing Aid Centre, UPM, Cahaya Quaseh Wellness, Creative Art Batik Painting, and Global Sports Partners for joining hands with us to build an intergenerational event for all age groups.
It’s a joy to see every individual in the community embracing and experiencing a community of love, where everyone is valued, supported, and seen for who they are.

Health check: Physiotherapy Screening, Body Fat Screening, Blood pressure, Glucose, Cholesterol, Uric acid, Eyes and Ear screening.
Fun Activities: Frisbees, Archery, Memory wall, Batik painting, Foot therapy.
All warga emas (60 years old and above) enjoy all health checks and foot therapy FOC on that day.

Organiser ROSE FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization whose objective is to carry out cervical screening for women in Malaysia, especially the under-screened population, using the ROSE (Removing Obstacles to Cervical Screening ) approach, in line with the World Health Organization's goal of eliminating cervical cancer. Worldwide (WHO).
This initiative is part of Etiqa's corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment to healthy living, under the Etiqa Cares flagship programme.
Date: 4th to 13th June 2024

“Let's Have Fun 2.0” was at Kampung Pagi, Jerantut last weekend! We were proud to have with us visiting physical therapists from William Carey University, USA, medical students from IIUM Kuantan, and talented local SENIKA artists joining the villagers in healthy ageing activities, an event blending clinical health checks with fun and creativity.
Unique to this event, grandparents and grandchildren raced to toss marshmallows into cups and built towers from pretzel sticks and marshmallows, with both generations reveling in the friendly competition. Raucous music, bursting balloons, and colorful batik paintings filled the event space as nurses took blood pressure readings and physical therapists provided mobility tests.
As Dr. Judy Prehn from William Carey University observed and commended, “There isn’t much difference between paediatrics and geriatrics, is there?”🤩
Participants were encouraged to follow up regularly on health screenings with local professionals, aiming to inspire both older and younger generations to lead healthy, active lives together.
Good health is everyone’s concern. Let’s take steps to protect and care for each other while we can.

Remembering the underserved Community in this festive season.
Many of them are celebrating with the bare minimum. We hope the angpows and goodies do make a difference in their celebrations. Many thanks to those who donated to this good cause. You made a difference in their lives! Thank you!!

With the recent heavy monsoon rain, water levels in most rivers are overflowing, causing floods in many Orang Asli kampung in the interior of Rompin, Muadzam Shah, Nenasi, and Cini areas. Many low-lying roads access to these kampungs are flooded causing thousands of Orang Asli communities cut off from the outside world without access to food and clean water.
When the Tok Batins from these affected kampungs shared with us their dire situation, HARAP took immediate action to address the situation. We are truly grateful to Yayasan Hasanah for their swift response to our SOS call for the Humanitarian Disaster Relief. With their support, HARAP can provide food aid to 8 kampungs within a week.
We look forward to your continuous support and partnership with us to make a positive difference in the lives of those who are in desperate need.

Effective food distribution comes with a thorough understanding of the affected community's well-being. We are truly grateful to OEL Distribution (East Coast ) Sdn Bhd for not only giving us a special price for rice but Also their generous donation of hundreds of cartons of drinking water to the Orang Asli communities affected by the monsoon flood.
Your commitment to providing essential clean water met the immediate needs of those affected by the floods and has made a significant difference in their lives during this challenging time.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the outstanding effort and dedication that our team has shown in our recent food relief distribution. They work round the clock, rain or shine, they made sure the Orang Asli received the food aids! Their willingness to give their time and energy to help others is truly commendable, and it exemplifies the spirit of community and compassion that makes our organization proud to have them as part of our team.

Disasters often result in widespread displacement, loss of livelihoods, and food insecurity. Living on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia is never spared from yearly monsoon. Timely and effective precautions are essential to address the immediate needs of affected communities and prevent a humanitarian crisis.
We are thankful to Yayasan Hasanah for understanding and foreseeing many poor who are living with damaged roofs caused by the constant rainstorms in this area.

A joyous Christmas and a Happy New Year to our companionless elderly folks and single moms together with their children @ Gambang Community Hall.

Thank you to Capital Land for partnering with us for food distribution in Taman Dato Rashid Salleh. We are so grateful for the CSR leadership team of East Coast Mall and the hard work of their entire volunteer staff.
We also want to thank the committees of Masjid TDRS who provided a peaceful, strategic venue for the event, and the KRT’s committees who were very helpful and concerned for the welfare of their community. We had the pleasure of joining hands to provide essentials to the community. Everyone was eager to work together and the atmosphere at the Masjid TDRS was full of laughter and joy.
Together we had a successful event!

Every basket, bag, and box we passed out to people in the community was a reminder of why HARAP exists. HARAP cares about working in communities. Touching lives. Inspiring hope. Leading the way towards happier and healthier homes.

During the recent drought, many were affected by the heat wave, what more if one is living in a kampung with no pipe water supply and the river runs dry? That drought left the Orang Asli living in Kg Patah Pisau in a dire situation, which resulted in widespread sickness and hardship for the community.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Yayasan Hasanah for their incredible support in providing clean water and food aid to the villagers for the past 4 months. Your swift action not only alleviated the villagers' immediate health risks but also helped ease the burden of worry that had plagued them. It was a difficult time for them and your intervention came as a beacon of hope. Thank You YAYASAN HASANAH!!!!

Our Mid-Autumn Celebration with Gambang old folks was a resounding success! Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our Gambang volunteers and the generous contributions of the local community in monetary and yummy food.
The event was not just a celebration of tradition but also a testament to the love and respect we hold for our elders.
The celebration brought so many smiles to their faces, warm memories to their hearts, and a sense of belonging to the community. Last but not least, we look forward to having more memorable and meaningful celebrations in the coming months.

We were saddened when we heard that many wargamas living in Gambang do not have family members to celebrate festivals with them. They are either single living alone with no relatives or have children working elsewhere who hardly return home to visit them. May our upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival bring cheers to these lonely folks!
