Biggest DSG team coached by with game day handling by friends which consisted of 12 Athletes that competed at Strength Academy Classic 2023.

We Going International. This time it’ll be in Dubai for the Asian Classic Powerlifting Championship which 2 of our athletes will be competing. It’ll be first time in an International competition while will be collecting more experience thru this meet. Do show them some support as they’ll need it. All of it. Kinda hyped up as we’ve only started training with Syed since January 22 and Youssef since April 22.

Redemption Time for Hisham Tarmizi and Syed Amirul Haziq who will be representing Malaysia in the National Team. Not to mention our head coach is also the National Team Captain as well. Southeast Asia Cup 2022 will be happening in Trove Hotel, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This will be the first ever International IPF Meet in Malaysia and 2 of our Athletes will be competing there.

Hisham u66 Open
Saturday 17th | Weigh in 1pm | Lift off 3pm

Here is our meet recap for the latest ELF 2.0: Glow The Whites where we have one Novice level athlete competing.

This is first ever meet and started working together 12 weeks out from the meet. We had to relearn and rebuild everything starting from the fundamental of squat all the way to deadlifts. And yea they shone on the platform of how close to perfection the ex*****on was. We manage to bag some PRs especially with the pauses and the competition type lifts where you have to follow the sequence, timings, and not to mention commands and regulations.

I am sure that we will see Matt again on the platform and hopefully he will glow even more next time. Good job Matt.

And FYI Matt didn’t have proper access to comp grade equipment until 1 month out and we found out the gym he went to had a 76cm bar ring spacing when it should be 81 cm 🥹

Here are our meet recap for the latest 2022 Raw Nationals where we have a total of 5 Athletes competing in different weight and age classes.

Each athletes have their own takeaways from the meet and also different struggles going thru the prep.

went into the prep with guidance from but had trouble with shoulder AC injury and also a 2nd Grade Pec strain a few weeks before the meet. However his objective is met and watch out for a proper meet recap regarding the strategy soon.

went into the meet with slightly under the weather due to the cut and also due to work and study balance but he got his first taste of competition and we think he is addicted to it now.
move going into the prep we are worried that his past spinal injury would come back but with a few tweaks and mental push he managed to push thru and get couple PRs for himself.

changed from convy to sumo from 10 weeks out after his first meet and damn we did not see this one coming and his total blew.

we worked a lot on his technique and cues and we bagged a record and not to mention proved that we could’ve actually got one more record on squats.

Either way these lifters will not stop here. There will be more. We will come back bigger and stronger. See you guys soon.

This weekend we will have a few of our athletes competing at Raw Nationals 2022. This will be our biggest squad so far for a meet. Which is a huge milestone for us.

Not to mention do show them love during their respective flights which will be listed below. We expect our athletes to perform as best as they can.

The platform is not only to gain your personal best from a lift. But to showcase your best performance of your training and prep. Whatever happens, happens. Here at DSG we don’t walk out with regrets. We walk out with our head held high and our chest out because we are proud about what we do and what we have achieved.
