Custom made rosewood armrest for acoustic guitar & classical guitar.

The advantage of having a custom made armrest on an acoustic / classical guitar is to reduce muting of the soundboard while resting our forearm directly on the soundboard.

Acoustic / classical guitar relies on the soundboard to fully project its tone. An armrest will helps to minimize the damping effect of our forearm and allowing the soundboard to vibrate unimpeded, hence improving the tone projection from the soundboard.

Besides, it also provides a better comfortability when playing for a longer period of time.

Our custom made armrest is fully handcrafted with rosewood material. The aesthetic design of it will definitely makes your guitar looking cool and special.

This guitar was brought in to us by our client with extremely high string action that you can’t even imagine it 😨

Our client brought in a unique instrument for us to fix the loosen tuning machine, patch up minor crack and do some touch up on the finishing.

This unique instrument is called Sape/Sapeh, it is a traditional string instrument originated in the Borneo, Kalimantan.

Repair & servicing done,
✅ Fix loosen tuning machine due to the screw hole has been widen over years of usage
✅ Minor crack patching on the surface near the tuning machine mounting hole
✅ Finishing touch up to match the original colour of the wood on the crack surface after patching

We have a Martin D-16 with slim dreadnought body acoustic guitar sent in to us for strings action setup and tone improvement.

This guitar is newly bought by client, but the original strings action setting does not met with client’s preferences and wanted to improve the tone quality as well.

Setup done on this guitar,
✅ Lowered down strings action height
✅ Fretboard conditioning
✅ Strings change - Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze 16052, gauge .012

Now this Martin guitar has been setup with slightly lower strings action height for better playability and also switching the strings from gauge .011 to Elixir Nanoweb phosphor bronze gauge .012 which gives a warmer tone, increasing in volume and stronger sound projection.

A client sent in this elegant acoustic guitar and requested us to solve the problem on the strings playability that are difficult to press due to the strings action is higher than the standard action height.

The guitar also came in with rusted and broken strings, dusty condition and lots of dirt stains which needed a clean up and new strings change as well.
