A labour of love started to reconnect musicians, now blossomed bigger - involving a wider music community 🎼💛

The klpac Symphonic Band’s outreach collaborative programme entitled An Uncommon Journey II returns with 48 talented musicians from Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Perak.

Under the baton of Cheryl Mah, and two esteemed guest conductors, the concert also features flute soloist Chew Sze Gee in conjunction with the Muramatsu flute’s 100th anniversary.

This international programme brings us works by Dutch, Japanese, Austrian, Italian, American, Belgian, Italian composers and more, plus arranger Wong Chee Yean's rendition of Rasa Sayang and composer Lim Yu-Yao’s Eternal Blossom Overture (world premiere).

We are calling our musicians to participate in "An Uncommon Journey", an outreach collaborative project initiated by The klpac Symphonic Band for like-minded music educators and musicians to reconnect.

The programme provides an opportunity for young musicians between 16 - 22 years old for an enriching and inspiring musical experience as well as an opportunity to perform under the leadership of guest conductors and collaborate with a featured soloist.
