十年前的集结号角吹响,证明CAT 在大马已经超过十年了,时光飞逝很快,但 CAT 导师的人数增加却异常缓慢。
过去十年里,CATalist Academy 教育中心曾办过一共5届 CAT 师资培训班,一届 retreat 工坊,师培班每班约廿人,多年下来,少说也有整百人参加过 CAT 的师培班。
可惜放眼今天,在大马对大众教导 CAT 技术的导师,屈指可数,不超过五人,非常稀珍。
那是因为 CAT 技术易学难精,背后蕴藏着一套极深的原理与功夫,缺乏持之以恒,日积月累的锻练,身感体受的心得,很容易便会半途放弃,更枉论成为一名导师。

My findings, ultimately the quality of your life depends upon your relationship to the present moment. Our practice makes our life so meaningful.

Aligning Practice with Life
Strength training isn't primarily about making you look stronger, building visible muscles, or getting in shape. Focusing on these conventional goals reflects a fundamental misunderstanding.
Strength training is fundamentally about enhancing your capacity to be present in the here and now, fully experiencing both pleasant and unpleasant sensations. This is the true aim of the discipline. Missing this essential point means missing everything.
Have the strength to embrace the fullness of who you are right now and to recognize your most essential freedom.

This young boy started 1-on-1 lessons with our CATalist, to improve his swimming performance. After just two lessons, you can see the difference in posture here! But his coach noticed something more, his arm movement and core strength have improved too. 👏👏👏

讲讲大道理- 什么是情绪中毒 😡🥺😭😥🤒
Preparing Manual for the Coming CATalist Teacher Trainings (8th Edition). This time, we're diving deeper into the whys and hows of pain and the crucial role of each body part in our overall posture and movement.
Now is the time for me to organize every theory into practical experience. Like another thesis but I truly enjoy this aspect of running teacher training.
Our Specialized Therapy session by Michelle Tai is now open for booking.
Specialized Therapy come with small group session of not more than 3 in a group. For such sessions, we will use specialized assistance with touch accompanied by the CAT tools to produce desired alignment of different segment of the body.
Depending on your condition, there will be specially designed exercises that addressed to individual immediate needs. The process is difficult to describe but just to give some sort of idea.
For eg: if you have pain in the knees – we will never deal directly with the affected part i.e. knees before we bring about an improvement in the lower back, hips and sacrum relationship and in breathing.

但凡有练习正念 mindfulness 的人都知道,有时我们正襟危坐,发现没办法觉察当下,也难以观照到身心,或进入所谓的 ”临在”的状态;反而,有时在等待,无聊,发呆, 躺平的空隙间,却很轻易地就认出,并保持正念。
这说明了正念,除了练习,还要掌握 “不练习” ,许多人把正念误解成抽离,无感,逃避,还有机械化,就是缺乏了"不练习”这塊,那是心识很重要的一环,清明,放松,无为,任运等等,都在强调表达这元素。
青少年练习正念,更需要这元素,毕竟,正念的重点在于觉察,观照,不在专注。
专注只是正念的兄弟伙伴而己,不是正念本尊。
At the juncture of "Beh tahan".
My self-work. How do I make change beautiful and necessary instead of staying stuck at the intersection of "beh tahan liau". Most of us want to skip the part that is messy, uncertain and uncomfortable and expect the change result.
CATalist goes deep into that messed up part about us, in order to put life in our lives.
When you see people changed in their posture, they have been through hell and heaven. Definitely stronger than before.
在大马,正念 mindfulness 仍是一个相当陌生的名词,99%的人不知道是啥?
但正念的实践,却可以穿透任何一个人身心,无视他的宗教,学识,资历,种族,性别等等。
就像瑜珈,只要有身与心,不必是印度教徒,也可练习。
正念练习,只要拥有觉知,便可练习。。猜猜只要是人类,谁人没有觉知?

In CATalist Mindful Smartphone program, students are encouraged to bring their phones to class.
Instead of using them on autopilot like usual, they are trained to observe the changes in their body and mind that lead to reaching for their phones.
I love the strong message at the start, "You have a choice,". By the 4th week, we see a significant change: their phones sit by their side for the entire lesson, untouched.
