Exploring Cameron Highlands on 14-15 May 2024.
The 2 days field trip was led by Dr Siti Nurhidayu Abu Bakar and participated by 10 students from ESC5212 Watershed Hydrology class.

The trip encompassed various scientific activities, commencing with water sampling conducted at Lata Iskandar waterfall and Sultan Abu Bakar Dam. Observations were made on runoff generation and water quality by the tea plantation and farming activities at Sg Palas Tea Center. Additionally, a study visit to the Mossy Forest provided invaluable insights into the region's biodiversity. The trip concluded with another enlightening study visit to Pusat Meteorologi Cameron Highlands.

Field trip to Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve on 29 April 2024. The trip was lead by Dr. Nurhidayu Abu Bakar and participated by 11 students from ESC5212 Watershed Hydrology course. Apart from teaching and learning in classroom, students also have the opportunity to engage with the subject matter through hands-on experiences and observation.

The aim for the trip was to understand forest catchment characteristics through field observation of forest features i.e. multi layer canopy, thick litter later and root system as an important natural reservoir.
