This superb couta was boated today by guest .martin._ . It was an tagged fish, previously caught on 18 November 2020, 1037 days ago. Back then, it was 106 cm long (fork length) whereas it now measured 122cm. So only grew 15cm in approx 3 years. Funny thing is that on boat occasions the fish was landed by a fisherman on Titan, Balistidae’s main fishing boat.

The offshore fishing is sizzling at Balistidae. Our fortunate guests did well to get a 30kg wahoo and 20kg couta on consecutive trips.
Dhows of Mozambique…. Such graceful workhorses. ALL the material used to build Balistidae was transported across the bay by dhow.
Finally. A cheaper alternative to the current carriers. Looking forward to getting more guests to Balistidae more affordably. Bring on summer at Balistidae! ⛵️⛱🏝
