It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of one of our cherished para archer, Katelyn Venter. Katelyn was a dedicated athlete and a vibrant member of the para sports family. Her enthusiasm and commitment to archery inspired us all.
Our deepest condolences go out to her family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.Katelynβs presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit and passion for the sport will forever remain in our hearts.
Please join us in honoring her memory and celebrating the remarkable life she lived.

The lnternational Paralympic Committee together with Ministry of Sport, Youth and National Service, Republic of Namibia Namibia Sports Commission continue to strengthen NPC Namibia to increase the knowledge,skills and opportunities for NPC to develop para athletes and para sport with National Federations NFs, IFs,athletes coaches,technical officials and managers as the main target group.
To achieve this a workshop is ongoing in Otjiwarongo to promote strong leadership,governance,planning and athlete development.

Who we are!
Namibia National Paralympic Committee is a national constituent of the worldwide Paralympic movement. Subject to the controls of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), responsible for organizing their people's participation in the Games. The Paralympic Games are a major international multi-sport event where athletes with physical disabilities compete; this includes athletes with mobility disabilities, amputations, blindness, and cerebral palsy. Namibia made its Paralympic Games dΓ©but at the 1992 Summer Paralympics in Barcelona. These were the first Summer Paralympics to be held since the country's accession to independence from South Africa in 1990, and thus the first Games in which Namibia was able to take part. For its inaugural participation, the country sent just two athletes, both women, who both competed in discus, javelin and shot put.
