THE MANIFESTATION OF LIGHT Part 3 || Dr. John Nwanorim

God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. As a child of God, you are a child of light and your light is expected to shine and be expressed everywhere you go. No matter how little light is, it makes a difference in darkness. God wants you to shine, to manifest, and to represent the kingdom wherever you find yourself. Isaiah 60 verse 1 says "Arise, shine, for your light has come".

However one thing that can hinder the manifestation of your light is sin. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death". When you dwell in sin, you attract death to your life and death speaks of darkness.

When God made man in Genesis, man was lifeless. God put the breath of life (light) in man and man became a living being. He then instructed that man could have every fruit in the garden for food except the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil; For the day man eats of it, man will surely die. What God meant was that the day man consumes this fruit, light will leave the life of man. Therefore when man falls to sin, he rejects the gift of life which is the gift of light and he opens up himself to the manipulation and manifestation of darkness.

A man that dwells in sin cannot manifest the light of God. "Arise and shine, your light has come" is not a promise for those living in sin but for those who have been emancipated from the hold of sin/darkness and are translated to the kingdom of light. Once a man is set free from sin, then the promise of light can fully manifest in his life for "he that is in Christ is a new creature, old things are passed away and behold all things have become new".

You can't continue to live in sin and expect to manifest the fullness of God. Sin is a reproach, sin is a heavy burden and a blocker of light. No wonder Jesus says "come unto me all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest". It is in light you find rest (Mark 7: 20-23). Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid! Embrace Jesus and experience His light today!

I pray for you, the light of God will shine upon your life today in Jesus name.

SCRIPTURE
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

In John 8:12, Jesus declares, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." Imagine being in a room filled with darkness, unable to see the beauty around you. Suddenly, someone turns on the light switch, and brightness fills the room. The joy that fills your heart in that moment is incomparable.

Just as the light illuminates the room, Jesus, as the light of the world, illuminates our lives. He helps us see the beauty around us and navigate through the darkness of the world. Following Jesus means we no longer walk blindly, but with clarity and purpose. His light reveals the dangers ahead, allowing us to avoid them, and gives us hope and a reason to live.

Following Jesus doesn't mean our path will be without challenges, but it means we have the best guide to lead us through them. He directs us along the very best pathway for our lives. Moreover, as we follow Him, we are transformed into light ourselves, illuminating our generation and succeeding in all our endeavours.

CALL TO ACTION:
Today, I encourage you to follow the Light of the world, Jesus Christ. Open your heart to His guidance and allow His light to lead you through the darkness of life. Trust in His direction, knowing that He will always lead you on the best pathway for your life.

LET US PRAY:
Sweet Jesus, thank You for being the light of the world. Help us to follow You faithfully. Illuminate our paths and lead us on the best pathway for our lives. Transform us into light ourselves, so that we may illuminate our generation and succeed in all our endeavours, in Jesus name. Amen.

A HARDENED HEART, THE ENEMY OF THE FIRE || Dr. John Nwanorim || Sermon Recap

Dr. John Nwanorim, in his sermon based on Mark 10:32-34 and Mark 16:1-14 (NLT), emphasized that believers often fall victim to one of the greatest evils employed by the devil—Hardened Hearts. Many Christians, due to the hardness of their hearts, have become unbelieving despite their faith. The Spirit of God revealed to Dr. Nwanorim that the growth of God's Kingdom is hindered by the prevalence of hardened individuals emerging from revivals instead of broken ones.

In his word, Dr. Nwanorim stated, “Churches today are filled with Holy Ghost-filled, tongue-speaking believers whose hearts are as strong as stones. They have grown accustomed to the rituals and power of Christianity, leading to a lack of reverence and fear. These hardened hearts resist change and refuse to yield, preferring pride over humility. This state inhibits the manifestation of God's fire in their lives and in the church.”

The servant of God emphasized the necessity of a broken heart to experience the abundance of God's Kingdom. Like little children, believers must humble themselves before God, shedding the pride that hardens their hearts.

Dr. John Nwanorim urges believers to release their hardened hearts and return to God. Despite our unfaithfulness, God remains faithful and loving. Letting go of hardness of heart is essential to receive the fullness of God's fire.

In conclusion, the servant of God urged believers not to let external circumstances corrupt their belief system. Instead, they are encouraged to cultivate hearts of faith and humility, allowing the fire of God to ignite within them and transform their lives.
