What causes children to fall sick with infection during change in weather, certain viruses and bacteria to become more active, which can lead to increased rates of infection. In addition, changes in temperature and humidity can weaken a child's immune system, making them more susceptible to illness. Other factors such as poor hygiene, exposure to allergens or pollutants, and underlying health conditions can also increase a child's risk of falling sick during a change in weather. Children at the home have fallen sick and 3 of them had to be admitted, with 2 discharged after 3days and the last one staying up to 2weekes at the hospital. Hospital bills are running close to a hundred and twenty thousand naira (120,000) while payments for drugs and blood transfusion is a totally of seventy two thousand naira. (72,000) the debts are yet to be paid. We are asking for *help* we can't do this alone. We do not have the resources. We are asking for donations to pay the hospital bill. korede boy, is now 3years in age. The second child out of 3 siblings rescued by security operatives, korede boy as he's usually called was so withdrawn when he first got to the Center that you'll think he is a mute. But now, 1 year + down the line, he's as talkative as a parrot, very vibrant and cute. The effects of negative circumstances on children can go a long way in affecting any child. But with the right environment, care and support with proper feeding, such child can and will bounce back to live.

Heart of Dorcas is where home is for the less privileged, vulnerable and orphaned children. A home filled with warmth, love,comfort and care.
