Bauchi state first lady Haj Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed has continued to host different women groups for the Ramadan IFTAR as done by her husband, Governor Bala Mohammed.

The Sarauniyar BAUCHI yesterday hosted wives of caretaker committee chairmen of the remaining ten local Government areas from the BAUCHI south senatorial district with three from the Bauchi central senatorial district.

Others that breaks the Ramadan IFTAR with the first lady include wives of honorable commissioners and special advisers, women leaders and groups from the ten local Government areas Among others.

Bauchi Governor flags off the distribution of one hundred💯 and ten thousands Bags of food Items as Ramadan palliatives to the people of Bauchi state

His Excellency The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON Kauran Bauchi Jagaban Katagum, has today flagged off the distribution of palliative items to the good people of Bauchi State.

While flagging off the distribution of the food palliative items at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Township Stadium, Bauchi, Governor Bala Mohammed said that the distribution of the Ramadan palliative to vulnerable groups will cushion hunger and hardship in the state.

Governor Bala announced that 40,000 bags of maize, 40,000 bags of millet, 20,000 bags of rice, and 10,000 bags of sugar will be distributed among the wards and that the third phase of palliative care is currently underway. Governor Bala asserts that his administration is committed to ensuring the process is carried out with the highest level of transparency and integrity.

Governor Bala appreciated the support of residents of the state for his administration despite some challenges and called on them to exercise more patience, noting that the administration of President Bola Tinubu was committed to implementing measures to stabilize the prices of food and commodities, encourage economic growth, and promote the prosperity as well as the well-being of citizens.

He went on to say that his administration had set aside two billion naira for the procurement of cereals, citing support from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and other organizations.

The Chairman of the Distribution Committee, Dr. Aminu Gamawa, appreciates Governor Bala for such prompt interventions considering the rates of suffering experienced by the masses. He assured the governor of proper distribution to the masses. He said the items include rice, maize, millet,

The inauguration of the ICT Center named after former President of the Court of Appeal, Zainab Bulkachuwa, and the newly constructed Alternative High Girl’s School Bauchi was carried out by Her Excellency Sen. Oluremi Tinibu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Governor Bala says he had the pleasure of hosting Nigeria’s First Lady, Her Excellency Senator Remi Tinubu, in Bauchi. Her commendation of his administration's efforts towards national development and the hospitality extended by his wife, Aisha Bala Mohammed, delighted his heart.

The First Lady, who is in Bauchi to inaugurate and donate a Women ICT Skill Center to the state government, says any genuine effort to build the nation must recognize and involve women.

Senator Tinubu highlighted the importance of technology in fostering gender equality and urged other states to follow the Bauchi State lead in empowering vulnerable populations, a cause to which she has committed by supporting 608 orphans and widows.

Apart from the ICT Center, the First Lady will also inaugurate an alternative high school for girls built by the Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board in the state.

In response, Governor Bala reiterated his administration's commitment to inclusivity, tolerance, and mutual respect as foundational to Nigeria’s success. He said that her initiative is already giving Nigerians hope because of its nonpartisan nature.

Curbing Insecurity: Bauchi First Lady Bags State Police Award

Bauchi First Lady, Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed has assured of her total support in the crusade of reducing the menace of sexual and gender based violence in the state to the nearest minimum.

The wife of the governor similarly pledged to continue to support the gender unit and legal department of the state police command for the smooth running of their activities.

Dr. A’isha Bala Mohammed was responding to an Award of honour presented her by the State Police Command Tuesday tagged, “Champion Against Gender-Based Violence” following her persistent and tireless efforts, as well as complementing the command in fighting criminal cases, especially the sexual and gender-based violence in the state.

Dr. A’isha who heads the Committee Against Sexual and Gender-based violence in the state in the past three years, has been working in close collaboration with the Gender unit of police command with the aim of responding to cases of SGBV.

Aisha, first Sarauniya of Bauchi had also donated one Hilux vehicle, some laptops, printers, unlimited power supply devices, packets of AT duplication papers, photo-copying machines to the gender unit and legal department of the Bauchi police command.

Represented by the wife of Secretary to the state government, Hajiya Habiba Ibrahim Kashim, the first lady further assured of her continued support in breaking the culture of silence by building confidence in survivors and relatives of SGBV victims.

She then appealed to the state police commissioner to ensure that all SGBV cases are treated justly and not compromised, and commended the police command for its zeal and dedication towards the fight against gender-based violence in the state.

Presenting the award to the first lady earlier, the state commissioner of police, CP Auwal Musa Muhammed commended the First Lady for her continued supply of logistics to facilitate investigations of sexually-based violence cases.

The commissioner therefore assured that the aforementioned contributions by the Sarauniyar Bauchi will be the potentials to the development of Bauchi, and an unexpected level in both commercial and social factors in the state.

He said, “I want to reassure His Excellency with this kind of leadership you have given us in the past eight months that I assume duty in Bauchi state, we will continue to work 24/7 to ensure that Bauchi state is free from all violence crimes”.

Governor Bala Mohammed was the first recipient of the award event which is the first of its kind since the creation of Bauchi state in 1976, organized by the commissioner of police, CP Auwal Musa Muhammed to ginger stakeholders in the fight against crime and criminality in the state.

Governor Bala Mohammed said the award will spur him to do more and requested members of the public to continue to support security agents.

CP Auwal said the award ceremony was put together to recognize and appreciate Governor Bala Mohammed and others for their support to the security agents in the state.

Senator Bala Mohammed, according to the commissioner, bagged the State Police Command Award in recognition of his expended services towards promoting peace and security generally in the state.

All the six Royal Fathers in the state, Emir Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu of Bauchi; Emir Umar Farouk 11 of Katagum; Emir Ahmed Suleiman of Misau; Emir Nuhu Ahmad Wabi 111; Emir Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya of Ningi; and Emir Usman Bilyaminu Othman of Dass have each respectively collected an award for the Reward of Excellence in peace maintenance in his domain, as well as some commissioners, caretaker committee chairmen, and some individuals in the state.
