Near the end of his life, Bob Marley was told by a doctor that he had "more cancer in him than I've seen with a live human being," and that he only had a few months to live, so "he might as well go back out on the road and die there."

Three years earlier, the reggae icon had been diagnosed with melanoma under his toenail in 1977. Doctors removed the nail and the nail bed, but Marley refused to have the toe itself amputated to stop the spread of the disease, insisting that it violated his Rastafarian religious beliefs. By 1980, the cancer had spread throughout his body, infecting his liver, lungs, and even his brain. Marley played his last show on September 30, 1980, in Pittsburgh, performing Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust" during the soundcheck to the bemusement of his roadies, who didn't know anything was wrong. He died eight months later at the age of 36.

Dr Chaurasia was the great anatomist of India who published his first textbook in 1979 and since then it is widely read all over the world by the medical students pursuing MBBS. His books are unique in presenting systemic and comprehensive texts of applied anatomy in a simple language with easily reproducible line diagrams. Dr Chaurasia was a rare combination of an excellent teacher and a distinguished research worker. He was also a member of the advisory board of many national and international journals. Although he died at a young age, but his legacy continues through his contributions in the field of anatomy.

Keith Leon Moore (born 5 October 1925 in Brantford, Ontario) is a professor emeritus in the division of anatomy, in the Faculty of Surgery, at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Moore is associate dean for Basic Medical Sciences in the university's Faculty of Medicine, and was Chair of Anatomy from 1976 to 1984. He is a founding member of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists (AACA),[1][2] and was President of the AACA between 1989 and 1991.[3]

Dr. Moore is notable as the only embryologist directly quoted by Islamic sources in an attempt to prove embryology as described in the Qur'an is scientifically correct. In the 1980s he accepted an invitation by the Embryology Committee of King Abdulaziz University to produce a special 3rd edition of his most successful book "The Developing Human" specifically for use by Muslim students in Islamic Universities. He was financially patronized by the Saudi royal family for the use of his name, and for no real additional work.

The textbook he delivered to the Saudi Universities that commissioned the work is titled, "The Developing Human: Clinically Oriented Embryology with Islamic Additions."[4] The base textbook was work that Moore had completed years before. He did nothing new for this new edition. The “Islamic additions” are actually the work of an Abdul Majeed al-Zindani, so it alternates chapters of standard science with Zindani's "Islamic additions".

Today Nigerian celebrates its 60th Independence Day. We all have special memories of the national holiday growing up- flag hoisting in school, I-Day functions, special play enactment, hoisting of flags, special commemorative food, singing the national anthem together and most importantly, expressing gratitude towards our freedom fighters and their undying spirit.
Independence Day, celebrated on October 1st every year marks the day Nigerian secured her freedom from the British rule, after a long years, battle of suppression and oppression by the British.
Not only is Nigeria's Independence Day a historic celebration which makes one remember and honour the mighty sacrifices our courageous leader and fighters put forward for our country, but also a day to take pride, celebrate and respect our noble country's rich honour, valour, rich history, culture and tradition. Most importantly, the day makes us all remember the core value our country was built on- peace and freedom of expression.
"This Independence Day let's take a pledge to protect the peace and unity of our great nation.
"Remembering our past is extremely important. But we also have to think about building our future. Let's do everything to keep our freedom and carry it through the years.

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes & went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy's father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor. On seeing him, the dad yelled:
"Why did you take all this time to come? Don't you know that my son's life is in danger? Don't you have any sense of responsibility?"
The doctor smiled & said:
"I am sorry, I wasn't in the hospital & I came as fast as I could after receiving the call...... And now, I wish you'd calm down so that I can do my work"
"Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now what will you do??" said the father angrily
The doctor smiled again & replied: "I will say what Job said in the Holy Book "From dust we came & to dust we return, blessed be the name of God". Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go & intercede for your son, we will do our best by God's grace"
"Giving advises when we're not concerned is so easy" Murmured the father.
The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy,
"Thank goodness!, your son is saved!" And without waiting for the father's reply he carried on his way running. "If you have any question, ask the nurse!!"
"Why is he so arrogant? He couldn't wait some minutes so that I ask about my son's state" Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.
The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: "His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was in the burial when we called him for your son's surgery. And now that he saved your son's life, he left running to finish his son's burial."
Moral - Never judge anyone..... because you never know how their life is and what they're going through"

*Ruling on shaving the beard*

Praise be to Allaah.

Shaving the beard is haraam because of the saheeh ahaadeeth that clearly state this, and because of the general application of texts that forbid resembling the kuffaar. One of these reports is the hadeeth of Ibn ‘Umar who said that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Be different from the mushrikeen: let your beards grow and trim your moustaches.” According to another report: “Trim your moustaches and let your beards grow.” There are other hadeeth which convey the same meaning, which is to leave the beard as it is and let it grow long, without shaving, plucking or cutting any part of it. Ibn Hazm reported that there was scholarly consensus that it is an obligation (fard) to trim the moustache and let the beard grow. He quoted a number of ahaadeeth as evidence, including the hadeeth of Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) quoted above, and the hadeeth of Zayd ibn Arqam in which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever does not remove any of his moustache is not one of us.” (Classed as saheeh by al-Tirmidhi). Ibn Hazm said in al-Furoo’: “This is the way of our colleagues [i.e., the Hanbalis].”

Is it haraam (to shave it)? Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “The Qur’aan, Sunnah and ijmaa’ (scholarly consensus) all indicate that we must differ from the kuffaar in all aspects and not imitate them, because imitating them on the outside will make us imitate them in their bad deeds and habits, and even in beliefs, which will result in befriending them in our hearts, just as loving them in our hearts will lead to imitating them on the outside. Al-Tirmidhi reported that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “He is not one of us who imitates people other than us. Do not imitate the Jews and Christians.” According to another version: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” (Reported by Imaam Ahmad) ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab rejected the testimony of the person who plucked his beard. Imaam Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr said in al-Tamheed: “It is forbidden to shave the beard, and no one does this except men who are effeminate” i.e., those who imitate women. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had a thick beard (reported by Muslim from Jaabir). It is not permitted to remove any part of the beard because of the general meaning of the texts which forbid doing so.

Some of them are easy, some of them are difficult, some are evil and some are good.”* (al-Tirmidhi).
🔮Nationalism & Xenophobia are completely alien and forbidden ideologies in Islam because the Prophet Mohammad (saw) said: *“ ….. Leave it, It is Rotten "* (Bukhari).
It is narrated by Abu Daud that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, "He is not one us who calls for `Asabiyah, (nationalism/tribalism/xenophobia, racism) or who fights for `Asabiyah or who dies for `Asabiyah."
" ...People should give up their pride in nations because this is a coal from the coals of hell-fire. If they do not give this up Allah (swt) will consider them lower than a lowly worm which pushes itself through khur (feaces)." [Tirmidhi]. Nationalism, xenophobia, racism, tribalism always have arrogant undertone. Abdullah ibn Mas’ud : Prophet (saw) said: “No one who has an atom’s-weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.” A man said, “O Messenger of Allaah, what if a man likes his clothes and his shoes to look good?” He said, “Allah is Beautiful and loves beauty. ARROGANCE MEANS REJECTING THE TRUTH AND LOOKING DOWN ON PEOPLE.” (Muslim).
0️⃣Jabir ibn `Abd Allah al Ansari, narrated : "We were on a raid when one of the Muhajirun kicked one of the Ansar. The Ansar said, `O Ansar! Help me! (Calling his tribe) and the Muhajir said, `O Muhajirun! Help me! (Calling his tribe). The Messenger of Allah (saw) heard them and said, "Why are you stirring up something which belongs to Jahilliyah?"
The Messenger of Allah (saw) also said, "The believers, in their love, mutual kindness, and close ties, are like one body; when any part complains, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever." [Muslim]. "Every Muslim is a brother to a Muslim, neither wronging him nor allowing him to be wronged. And if anyone helps his brother in need, Allah will help him in his own need; and if anyone removes a calamity from [another] Muslim, Allah will remove from him some of the calamities of the Day of Resurrection; and if anyone shields [another] Muslim from disgrace, Allah will shield him from the disgrace on the Day of Resurrection." [Al-Bukhari ].
Meaning that the Muslims, whether they are of Chinese, African, European or Asian origin, are one Ummah and they cannot be separated from each other. No nationalistic, xenophobic nor tribalistic ties should ever break their unity. "And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allâh (i.e. this Qur'ân), and be not divided among yourselves,” Q3:103. *“If anyone proudly asserts his descent in the manner of the pre-Islamic people, tell him to bite his father’s p***s, and do not use a euphemism”*. (Sahih)
Let's ask ourselves if the Muslim Ummah today, in its individual & collective behaviour is striving to adopt and promote these Islamic ideals?. Amazing to see some ignorant people who claim to be Muslims & Non-racial while performing Hajj & while doing worldly businesses with other Muslims; suddenly become racists when their children opt to marry upright Muslims from other tribes & races. Real Muslims & real human beings are colour, nationality, ethnicity & race blind. The feeling of superiority or inferiority over race, tribe, wealth, height, stature or colour is a sign of ingratitude & refusal of the decree of Allah because we have no control over the colour of our skin, race or tribe we are born into, it is the decree of the creator.

😡 *RACISM: THE WORLD CAN’T BREATHE 1 OF 2.*

👺 *Racism has been called the social cancer of our time. It gnaws away slowly and insidiously until it invades the whole organism of society and erupts in violence and death*. Racism is an innate belief in superiority in oneself over another or the practice of treating a person or group of people differently on the basis of their race, colour, ethnicity etc. This mainly occurs in groups who have difference in colour, also arises with difference in traditions. It existed from time immemorial.
✅ A Racist is one who is lesser than a non-living thing in status because he/she deliberately suppresses his/her intellectual & emotional intelligence or maturity & sees life only through the telescopes of skin, eye, hair colour/ texture, tribe, lineage, man-made geographical borders. Darwinism is the foundation of its modern form. However, neither anthropology, nor biology nor for that matter any science offers the slightest justification for racist dogmas, which are based on discredited scientific notions or emotional irrationalism. The full facts still need to be placed before every person so that the social cancer of racism may one day be eradicated. Pristine Islam is the only effective therapy to this sickness.
🤖From generations of thousands of racists/killers from time immemorial around the world, up to the latest of them; Derek Chauvin and his co-killers of George Floyd; a fellow human being simply because of his skin or race we say to them *“…. Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely, and whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely….”Quran 5 :32.*
"Nor take life -- which Allah has made sacred -- except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand retaliation or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life, for he is helped (by the Law)." [Quran 17:33].
*“And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell to abide therein, and the Wrath and the Curse of Allah are upon him, and a great punishment is prepared for him”. [Q 4:93].*
Racists are less than non-living things in status they therefore deserve minimum sentence of an equivalent brutal style of death and a maximum sentence of eternity in hellfire on the day of judgement because for every human being they kill, they kill the entire mankind unless they sincerely repent.

🌈The perfection of Allah’s divine creative attribute is partly expressed in the diversity of color, race, ethnicity etc. The beauty of the human race is also reflected in this diversity of color, race etc. *If you still don’t understand, compare a single & a multi-coloured flower bouquet, Which is more beautiful?*
💡O people, Remember that your Lord is One. *An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a black has no superiority over white, nor a white has any superiority over black, except by piety and good action (Taqwa).* Indeed the best among you is the one with the best character (Taqwa). Listen to me. Did I convey this to you properly? People responded, Yes. O messenger of God, The Prophet then said, then each one of you who is there must convey this to everyone not present. (Excerpt Prophet's Last Sermon).
🔮For those who are still colour & race enslaved, Allah has given us a few reminder signs in Albinism, Vitiligo & Down syndrome . All ABINOS have a similar skin colour irrespective of the colour, race, ethnicity of the family from which they were born. If race & colour are indeed factors to determine superiority , then which albino will be considered to be superior; that born from a black family, that from a white family or that from any other shades of black or white, races & nationalities.
Many, if not all people with DOWN SYNDROME have almond-shaped eyes, short stature etc. This common features give a general physical similarity to all down syndromes. It is not related to colour, race, nationality, religion or socio economic status but genetic make up common to all children of Adam. If colour & race are indeed signs of superiority or inferiority. How superior or inferior are the people from all races & colours who have a condition called vitiligo: in which the dark pigment (melanin) previously present is lost from areas of the skin, causing whitish patches, often with no clear cause.
Whatever scientific explanations we give through the knowledge Allah has bestowed on us as the underlying cause; does not change the fact that it is Allah that is responsible for such chromosomal or genetic differences that brought about the display of the divine creative power as seen in Albinism, Down syndrome & Vitiligo.They further confirm the irrelevance of racial difference in the sight of God as expressed in the Quran.
*"And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge." [Q 30:22].*

*"O Men, We created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may KNOW one another (NOT THAT YOU MAY DESPISE EACH OTHER)."Q.49:13*
So, Allah the Almighty did not create dark or light skin as a tool of discrimination but as a sign to realise His creative might & to appreciate the beauty in diversity of His creation.
🍈Abu Dharr reproached Bilal about his mother, saying, “O son of a black woman!” Bilal went to the Messenger of Allah, (saw), and he told him what he said. The Prophet became angry and then Abu Dharr came, although he was unaware of what Bilal told him. The Prophet turned away from him and Abu Dharr asked, “O Messenger of Allah, have you turned away because of something you have been told?” The Prophet said, “Have you reproached Bilal about his mother? By the one who revealed the Book to Muhammad, none is more virtuous over another except by righteous deeds. You have none but an insignificant amount.” Sahih This rebuke had a profound effect on Abu Dharr, who then put his head on the ground swearing that he would not raise it until Bilal had put his foot over it. Among the companions were Salman (Persian), Suhayb (Roman /Greek).
🎆 *The Prophet said: You should listen to and obey your ruler even if he was an Ethiopian slave whose head looked like a raisin (Bukhari)*. These incidents demonstrate that tribal ties have no place in Islam. Muslims are commanded to stick together and not to disassociate themselves from each other just because they come from different tribes or races.
