Top 5 New Excel Functions (Formulas) you should learn today 👇👇👇

We built a DYNAMIC template for INVOICE/RECEIPT in our Data Analysis physical class today.

In our Data Analysis class this week, amongst other projects, we built a dynamic template that can be switched to an invoice or receipt with just a drop-down list.

When INVOICE is selected from the drop-down list, the template will automatically change the details to that of an invoice and does the same when changed to a RECEIPT.

There are different unique features of this template;

1. The customers are automatically added (updated) to a drop-down list from a customers' database.

2. When a customer to be invoiced is selected from the drop down list, the template will automatically fill in the customer's address, phone number, email address, and customer ID on separate cells in the invoice.

This takes away the stress of having to type or copy and paste customers' details directly on the invoice/receipt and also eliminates possible typos.

3. The template is connected to the customer's database which automatically updates the drop-down as new customers are added to the database.

4. The template can be shared in PDF or Excel format via email.

5. The template can easily be printed out at the instance of Ctrl+P or Ctrl+F2.

Now, the amazing thing about this unique template is that we built all these features using only Excel formulas. Yes, we didn't write a single line of codes (VBA) to achieve this.

We used just FORMULAS!

Some of the functions we used for this project were UNIQUE, FILTER, TOCOL, XLOOKUP, CONCAT, and TEXT.

We used data validation, conditional formatting, structured referencing, and different operators, including the spill #, concatenate, etc.

By tomorrow evening in our Data Analysis Complete class, we'll complete this project, and everyone in the class will be able to build and complete this dynamic INVOICE/RECEIPT template all by themselves.

Hopefully, this weekend, I'll do a video to show how this template works.
