Ifá is the words of Olódùmarè
Ifa is a prominent system of divination and religious belief. It is a complex system that involves the consultation of diviners known as babalawo, who communicate with the Orisa s (deities) through the use of sacred palm nuts, opele and divination trays.

Ifa is based on the belief that the universe is interconnected and that the Orisa s play a significant role in human affairs. Through divination, Ifa seeks to provide guidance, wisdom, and solutions to various personal, social, and spiritual issues. It is considered a deeply spiritual and cultural practice that encompasses rituals, ceremonies, and folklore.

The teachings and wisdom of Ifa are preserved in an extensive corpus (Odù Ifá). These sacred texts contain stories, proverbs, and verses that offer insights into the Yoruba worldview, ethical principles, and teachings about the nature of reality. Ifa is also associated with a system of ethical conduct known as Ifa ethics, which emphasizes virtues such as respect, honesty, and harmony.
