THE SALVATION OF MAN

What is salvation?

The term salvation can be defined as the action of delivering from death, keeping alive, healing or saving. Under the totality of Biblical revelation we understand Salvation as the act through which God cleanses all the sins of man to declare him righteous, adopt him as his son and sanctify him.

Three (3) aspects to understand salvation

1.- THE JUSTIFICATION

Nature of justification

Justification is a "judicial" term that means to acquit, to declare just, or to pronounce a sentence of acceptance. Essentially it is divine absolution, that is to say, the declaration of justice on the part of God in favor of man, derived from an act of divine grace, by means of which God pardons all the sins of man and confers his justice on him by virtue of the sacrifice of God. Christ effected on Calvary (Rom 3:24; 5:1,9 1Cor: 6:11).

Need for justification:

In order for man to be saved, he must first be justified before God. Every man, as the Word reveals, is a sinner and condemned to eternal judgment, that is, in his original condition man does not qualify to be saved. From there derives the need for him to be absolved from all guilt, forgiven all his sins and declared righteous before God.

The source of justification:

Man cannot earn or become worthy of justification, therefore, God goes looking for him to give it to him only by his grace; grace is, in this case, the love of God towards man (Titus 3:7).

“JUSTIFICATION IS A DIVINE PARDON”

The Basis of Justification:

It is an undeniable reality that neither the law nor any other alternative can justify man. God, despite his love and his great mercy, could not ignore the sin of the human being and go ahead with his relationship; his justice demanded an implacable punishment for the one who had rebelled against his laws and his supreme sanctity.

Through his perfect wisdom, God solves the problem with the sacrifice of Christ, since this sacrifice is the maximum demonstration of love (Jn. 3:16), at the same time that it is an act that fulfills the requirements of God's justice. God (Rom:4:25; 5:16, 18; 1 or Cor. 1:30). In this way, the fundamental and only basis of justification is the propitiatory sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ and it is by virtue of the merits achieved by him on the cross that man is freed from all his sins and declared righteous, that is, he is a justice poured out on man and in no way earned by him. The sacrifice of Christ is called the efficient cause of justification, because it follows directly from it.

The means of justification:

The sacrifice of Christ is a sufficient basis to save all men, but not all of them are actually saved. This is so, because God chose the means of faith for people to make effective what has been given on the cross. In this case, faith functions as the instrumental cause of justification, which means that it is the instrument through which justification is received. In no way is faith a human merit, but it is the hand extended to receive the gift of God and thus the total merit is in the giver, who is God. Furthermore, this faith is produced or prompted by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:1; Gal. 2:16; 3:24).

The faith that serves as the means of justification is not a mere intellectual faith, nor the faith that is used to receive a miracle, it is a complete and total confidence that Jesus Christ can save our lives from sin.

2.- REGENERATION

nature of regeneration

To study the nature of regeneration the following New Testament words are used:

A born:

Regeneration is a spiritual birth. The dead spirit of man, being touched by the Holy Spirit, comes to new life and is declared a son of God. This birth is a necessary condition to enter heaven, as determined by the Lord Jesus Christ in his conversation with Nicodemus (Jn. 3:1-15; Jas 1:18; 1Ped. 1.3; Gal3:26;4:5-6; Rom. 8:15; John 1:12).

A cleaning:

Regeneration is literally a bath. The sinner comes dirty before God and God washes away his sins and his faults (Titus 3: 5; Rev. 1: 5). This act is symbolized by water baptism (Acts 22:16).

A creation:

The Creator who made man in the beginning, now also creates anew the man who approaches him, forming in him a new character and a new life; for this reason, the convert is called a new creature (2Cor. 5:17), that is, a completely new man (Eph. 2:20; 4:24; Gal. 6:15).

A resurrection:

The man without Christ is dead in crimes and sins, for which, God through the act of regeneration resurrects him giving life to his spirit, hence he can enter into a direct relationship with God and can enjoy all the blessings new life spiritual This act is symbolized by baptism (Rom. 6:4-5; Col. 2:12; 3:1; Eph. 2:5-6).

2.1.- The effects of regeneration:

Regeneration is an act that brings many benefits to the life of the believer; We will mention the following aspects:

Related to position:

Regeneration brings with it a positional change in the individual who decides to give his life to the Lord, is adopted as a son of God, leaving his position as a son of evil. The title of son of God makes him creditor of all the privileges of a son of God, in this sense, regeneration implies an internal change that makes the person a son of God, but also implies the conferring of the blessings of this distinction. .

Regarding the spiritual:

Regeneration implies spiritual union with God and with Christ through • the Holy Spirit, which entails divine habitation (2Cor. 6:16-18; Gal. 4:5-6; 2:20; 1 Jn 3:24; 4:13). This union brings as benefits a new life and a new character described in various ways: newness of life (Rom 6:4), a new heart (Ez. 36:26), a new spirit (Ez. 11:19) and a new man (Eph. 4:24).

Regarding the practical:

Regeneration is an internal act, but it is evidenced through external actions, which is why the believer after being regenerated must show in his life certain practical actions that are consistent with his spiritual change. Such actions are the following: abhorrence of sin (1Jn. 3:9; 5:18), righteous deeds (1Jn. 2:29), brotherly love (1Jn4:7) and victory over the world (1Jn. 5:4) .

*THE GREAT MERCY*

The great Mercy is free gift of God to all his child especially we the chosen generation, peculiar people, high priest, and holy people.
The mercy of God has nothing to do with your qualification, weather your beautiful or ugly, educated or illiterate, poor or rich, having PhD or masters, Prophet or pastor, Rev or Bishop.
Mercy is something you don't work for before you receive it.
God choose David among his brother and he showed him the great Mercy.
*1 Samuel 16:6-7*
*And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD'S anointed is before him.*
*But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.*
Today God shall release the great mercy to your life. In Jesus name.

*THE ANTI - CHRIST*

*Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.1 John 2:18*

Antichrist means opposition of Christ. The mission and purpose of antichrist is to put himself in the place of Christ. He, therefore, opposes the father, and the son *( 1 John 2:22,4:3 )* . He also denies that Jesus came in flesh. There have been many antichrists will arise to oppose Christ and his followers more than anyone else in history. Likely claiming to be true messiah, the antichrist will seek world domination and attempt to destroy all careless followers of Jesus Christ and the nation or Israel during the period of great tribulation. The world is drifting at a fast lane towards the appearance of the antichrist in full force. The antichrist will revealed at the beginning of the period of the great tribulation after the rapture. *2 thessalonians 2:3-4*

*BIBLICAL REFERENCES OF ANTICHRIST*

1) He is the imposing boastful king. Daniel 7:25.
2) The King who set-up the abomination. Mark 13:14.
3) The man of lawlessness. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12.
4) The first beast, the one from the sea. Rev 13.
5) Man of sin. 2 thessalonians 2:3.
6) False Christ. Matthew 24:24-24.
7) The deceiver. Matthew 24:4-5
8) The wicked. 2 thessalonians 2:8.

*THE MISSION OF ANTICHRIST*

1) He will receive power from Satan to rule the world. Daniel 7:25-26. Rev 13:2.
2) He will work great miracles to deceive people. Rev 13:11-13.
3) He will speak and prophesy lies to confuse people. 2 thessalonians 2:4.
4) He will speak great things and blasphemy. Rev 13:5
5) He will take control of both the political and economic power of the world. Rev 13:16-17.
6) He will position his image in strategic and holy places and force people to worship them. 2 thessalonians 2:4, Matthew 24:15.
7) He will make war with the tribulation saint. Rev 13:7.
8) He will persecute the remnant that will be faithful to God and even kill them. Rev 12:17.

*9) HE WILL GIVE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER TO THOSE WHO WILL ACCEPT HIM. THE NUMBER 6️⃣6️⃣6️⃣. THIS NUMBER WILL ALLOW PEOPLE TO BUY AND SELL AND ACCESS SOCIAL AMENITIES, AND SEAL THEM FOR ETERNAL DESTRUCTION. SOME OF THOSE WHO REJECT THE NUMBER WILL BE KILLED REV 13:18.*

Believers should double their preparation towards the appearance of Christ, which will be sudden as a thief in the night in order not to partake of the Operations of the antichrist during the tribulation period.

*DESTINY DESTROYER*

Destiny is God's purpose for a man's life. It is a divinely pre-planned destination. It is the totality of God's counsel for a person and what God has decided concerning a person even before conception. *Jeremiah 1:5*. God has prepared destination for us and we must surrender totally to Him so as to avoid destiny destroyers that may want to scuttle God's plan for our lives *Jeremiah 29:11*

*SOME DESTINY DESTROYER*

*1) LACK OF KNOWLEDGE* - Lack of knowledge is a destiny destroyer. *Hosea 4:6*. If we are aware of our destiny, we shall free, focused and fulfilled. Failure to do so may lead to destruction. *John 8:32. Isaiah 6:1-9*.

*2) PURSUIT OF VANITY.* - Solomon pursued so much of vanity until he became a complete backslider. The privileges of wealth and lack of self control ruined his destiny. *Ecclesiastes 2:10-11, 1 king 11:1-10.*

*3) LACK OF FAITH* - Lack of faith is also a destiny destroyer. *Hebrew 4:2. 1 Timothy 1:19*.

*4) PRIDE* - Pride is excessive self-esteem. It is when you are filled with an exciting sense of credit due to yourself. Pride is a sin and it leads to loss and destruction. *James 4:6, Daniel 4:28-33, Proverb 29:23.*

*5) SINFUL LIFESTYLE*- Sins not confessed and forsaken are dangerous because they provoke God to anger. A man who is living in sin cannot fulfil his destiny or attain eternal destination which God has promised. *1 John 3:4.*

*6) ANGER* - Anger is another destiny destroyer. Uncontrolled emotional outburst has led many People out of God purpose for their lives. *Ecclesiastes 7:9. Proverb 29:22.*

*7) PRAYERLESSNESS* - Prayerlessness can cause the enemy to take advantage of a man's destiny. *Matthew 13:25. Mathew 26:41.*

*Run away from destiny destroyers and make up your mind to live a life that will enhance the fulfilment of your destiny.*

*TYPES OF WORSHIP*
The Bible talks about several "kinds" of worship.

*1. IGNORANT WORSHIP* --Acts 17:22-31
a. Acts 17:23 - "for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:
b. Paul perceived that they were very religious but he warned them that their religious service was not pleasing to God for it was done without knowledge of what God wanted or even who God was.

c. Ignorant worship is like throwing darts at a bulls eye while blindfolded--sure you might hit the mark but more than
likely you will do a lot of damage

d. ignorant worship is not pleasing to God for he is not glorified by accident, but by a conscience praise of His name.

e. Such worship will never be pleasing to God, for His will has been revealed (John 4:24).

f. God does not wink (tolerate) ignorance - Acts 17:30.

*2. VAIN WORSHIP*
a. Matthew 15:7-9 "Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: 8 - 'These people draw near to Me with
their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. 9- And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'"
b. The Pharisees made their worship Vain (useless) because they had layered on the commandments of men to their
practices.

c. This is the attitude which changes what God has said, does not respect what God has said, and not obey what He has
commanded. See Leviticus 10:1-11.

*3. WILL WORSHIP*
a. Colossians 2:23 - Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. (KJV)
b. Colossians 2:23 - These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and
neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

c. This is worship that centers in satisfying self. This is the same type of worship that we often have today, that
which calls for "audience centered" worship.

*4. TRUE WORSHIP.*
a. John 4:23-24 "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 - "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

Transform comes when mind of a man Is renewed. The real change we see in born again Christian is by renewing the mind. And when the mind is renewed he can discover himself. Some Christian are just attending church without knowing exactly the role God want him to play in the church.

_And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God._

There is a man who attend church regularly and many programmes but never stop sleep with ladies who are not his wife. He said that is he practice of love. That after all God said will should love ourselves, such mind is not transform or renewed. Choir who is Doing pr******te, Christian that is smoking or wearing crazy jeans, woman wearing trousers, painting face, wearing leg chain, puting trailer rim to their ear, keeping malice, hatred in church, such mind is not renewed or transform. There are many Christian who do not pay tithe because their mind has been polluted with wrong ideas. They think that pastor are using that for their extravagant lifestyle. Truly some man of God are using it for something else but is not for you to judge that. Pay it and let the problem be in his or her neck.
Many people think poverty is for men of God. When you lack wisdom you mind cannot be renewed and you remind in darkness. Hosea's 4:6-7.

*HOW TO DEVELOP YOUR SPIRIT*

The mind I develop in school or college, muscles are develop by exercise, but you need Spiritual growth as a child of God. *How do we develop our spirit* ?.

1) Be studying bible Psalm 119:105.
2) By fearing God and staying away from sin. The fear of God is beginning of wisdom. Proverb 4:7.
3) By listen and observing rather than talking.
4) Engage your self in private fasting and prayer.
5) Have silent time after your fasting and prayer to hear the voice of God.

*And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;*
*And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.*

Paul outworked the other apostles (I Cor 15:10). He was the most zealous evangelist (Rom 15:15-21). He was free from the blood of all men in Asia (Acts 19:10; 20:26). Why did he work so hard? What was his goal? To convert the elect (II Tim 2:10; II Thess 3:2; Acts 18:10)!

Psalm literally means " song sung to harp', *Ps 98:5.* This implies that psalm are way of singing to God. Psalm are also what one sings to talk about Gods wondrous way. *Ps 105:2, Ps 33:2-5.* And to reflect the mercies of God on one's life. One of the ways we can utilize out moment is by singing Psalm. *James 5:13* . Psalm are ways we can use to enter into the presence of God, *Psalm 95:2.* There are Psalms of

*HYMNS AND SPIRITUAL SONGS*
Hymns are the religious canticles, songs, or psalm. In *Ephesians 5:19* and *Colossians 3:16,* Christian to edify one another with " psalm and hymns and Spiritual song" *Mathew 26:30.* Says that Christ and His disciples, having supped, sang a hymn and went out.
Hymn and spiritual songs are songs inspired by God and written by spiritual people or on spiritual subjects, *Psalm 42:8*. One very good habit believers should cultivate is the act of singing hymns and Spiritual songs. *Ephesians 5:19* . Today, we have all kinds of song including those that feed our pride and glorify the flesh and even the devil. Not using appropriate hymns and song has seriously affected our Worship. One of the fastest ways we can load our lives with the word of God is by singing hymns. *Col 3:16* . However, we must be born again before we can live a life full of hymn and spiritual songs. A life that is void of God will struggle with the messages in these hymns.

What is it (II Tim 4:2)? It is a pastor’s job. Joel Osteen and pastors today pervert preaching. Paul used the terror of the Lord to persuade men (II Cor 5:9-11). Ministers should use every lawful means to press God’s claims on your lives.

I Peter 3:
10 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Look at the offer! Precious wisdom to live the good life! Men pay big bucks to get worthless counsel! The Holy Spirit inspired both David and Peter to give you the rules for maximizing life twice (Ps 34:12-16). This is fabulous advice. You can easily do this with humble repentance.

“A new commandment I give unto you, 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫; as I have loved you, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫” (John 13:34-35).

Moses taught God’s people to love each other (Lev 19:18). But Jesus emphasized the command and illustrated it. Brotherly love is the most repeated N.T. rule for Christians – it is the greatest. Is your love exceptional and extensive to all?

*BODY*

A Christian is a person who believe in the thought of Christ Jesus and anyone that accept the way of the Christ Jesus. Many people call Christian a religion but that is pure lie. Christian mean Christ alike, those who live in Christ and believe in one God, son as holy spirit.

*FOUR REASON WHY THEY CALLED THEM CHRISTIANS.*
1) They walk like Christ: walking like Christ simply means they act like manner of Jesus. 1 John 2:6.
2) They talk like Christ. Rome 8:28-29.
3) They teach like Christ. Ephesians 4:22-26. John 13:13-17.
4) They have integrity like Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1.

People read you and your actions because they define Christ by action not by religion that was so prevalent on their day. 1 Peter 2:21.

*TYPE OF CHRISTIAN.*
1) BLIND CHRISTIAN
2) UNBLIND CHRISTIAN.

*BLIND CHRISTIAN*
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Matthew 15:14.

Blind Christian are the one who call themselves Christian, but Spiritually they are blind.
*In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.* *2 Corinthians 4:4.*

CHARACTERISTICS OF A BLIND CHRISTIANS.
1) They claimed to be wiser. 1 Corinthians 2:14.
2) They worship idol in the heart. Ezekiel 14:1. 2 Corinthians 4:4.
3) They don't know the things of the Lord. Mathew 13:13-15.
4) They obey unrighteousness. Rome 2:8, 8:7-8.
If truly you want to follow Christ. Deny yourself to him totally.
Spiritual blindness simple mean the refusal to do what one know is good for him. Being ignorant to the knowledge and principles of God.

*CAUSES OF BLINDNESS.*
1) Sin . Zephaniah 1:17.
2) Hardness of heart. Hebrew 3:8.
3) Ignorant of the word of God. 1 Corinthians 8:2. Act 17:30. Eph 4:18.

*UNBLIND CHRISTIAN*

Ephesians 2:4-5
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Unblind Christian are Christian that have given their life, family and everything they have to God. That God have it in control. Ephesians 2:1-5.

*CHARACTERISTICS OF UNBLIND CHRISTIAN.*
1) They keep their faith. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5.
2) They are humble physically in the heart.
3) They look forward for the coming of out Lord Jesus. James 5:8.
4) Being righteous. 1 John 2:29.
5) Holiness. 1 Peter 1:14-15. Hebrew 12:14-15.

*Only God alone is to be Worship and let all repent from their evil ways because blindness end in hell*

*BOW DOWN YOUR EARS*

Bowing down your ear is humbling yourself and admitting ignorance. David said, “LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me” (Ps 131:1). Solomon said, “And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in” (I Kgs 3:7). They got rid of any pride.

HOLINESS

✳️ Holiness is the nature of God. Lev 11:44.
✳️ And as His Children, God placed a demand on us to be holy. 1 Peter 1:14-16
✳️ Holiness is the Hallmark of our sonship. Ephesians 2:10. John 1:7.
✳️ God has given us the grace to overcome sin. Rome 6:14. 1 John 3:8-10
✳️ Holiness is a choice that we must make. It is determination. 1 Corinthians 9:23-27.
✳️ It requires strong determination to live holy and righteously.

𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐂 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

A dangerous fad among Christians today is contemplative meditation, for it rejects God’s word and conscious, intelligent thinking for inner voices and leadings – the perfect invite for the devil – the opposite of resisting. The monks and nuns of Rome love it.

If you believe that say amen

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to 𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐞. - Gen 3:16

Sin confounds everything, thus the need for law and law-enforcers (I Tim 1:8-11). Husbands should rule over wives, and her desires are subject to his. Paul combined our opening and closing texts for women to be silent under authority in church assemblies (I Tim 2:11-14).

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

II Corinthians 9:7

𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦: 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐥𝐲.

Fools defy God and waste their lives, because they are rebellious and stupid. But worse than that, they think their idiotic and imbecilic sins are amusing, funny, and pleasant! Life is a joke to fools, and they laugh themselves right into the grave and hell. But wise men know life is serious, and they delight to live soberly according to God’s rules.

Sin is bad enough – bringing instant death (Gen 2:17), pain and trouble (Gen 3:17-19), lingering death (Gen 5:5), dysfunction (Job 14:1), and eternal death (Rev 21:8). But to greedily run after sin and laugh at it reveals a dark and profane heart of a fool (Pr 10:23; 14:9; Eph 4:17-19). In spite of their laughter, a wise man knows hell is coming for them!

It is horrible enough to watch a man swallow the devil’s bait with his hook, but when that man boasts and laughs about the wonderful taste of the bait, you know you are watching a mindless fool. In contrast, the wise man examines everything to avoid the devices of the devil (II Cor 2:11; Eph 4:27). If he foolishly takes a bite, he spits it out with disgust!

If the Bible is only half true, sin is a terrible thing, and meeting God after death as a sinner is a horrible prospect. But deceived fools believe confidently that there is neither God nor sin, until it is too late (Ps 36:1-2). Men with understanding know life is very serious, and they are grave and sober about it (Pr 14:16; Tit 2:2,4,6; I Pet 1:13; 4:7; 5:8).

As the world gets stupider, it rejoices more. Most great-grandparents of this generation would gasp to watch the folly of modern sitcoms, but they would be shocked even worse to hear staged studio laughter every 10 seconds. The generation of the information age is more destitute of wisdom than ever, and they bark and cackle about it like rabid hyenas.

Consider cool high school fools. They laugh about getting drunk and racing. They laugh about sexual conquests. They laugh about cheating. They laugh about vandalism. They laugh about gluttonous gorging. They laugh about everything, or nothing. They are fools! They are the future of this damned world, for God is coming to judge them (Eph 5:3-6).

Reader, what is folly to you? Do you rejoice to sin (Job 15:16)? Is life a joke and sin a pleasure? If you love folly, you hate wisdom; if you hate wisdom, you love death (Pr 8:36). You forfeit God’s mercy in your life by choosing lies of folly, or sin (Jonah 2:8). The thought of foolishness is sin (Pr 24:9), so you better learn to think new thoughts.

Or are you like Paul, “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” (Rom 7:24). A wise man rejoices in the wisdom of God’s words (Pr 21:15; Ps 119:111,162; Jer 15:16) and in God saving him from folly (Rom 7:25; Titus 3:3-7). There is a reward for fools and wise men, both in this world and in the world to come, so a wise man will apply himself diligently to righteousness (Ps 19:11; Is 3:10-11; Jas 1:25

JOHN 14:21
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐃 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐀𝐔𝐋

You will never in your wildest imagination have a costly relationship with a civil ruler like David did with Saul. If David could love Saul, serve Saul, forgive Saul, praise Saul, and eulogize Saul, surely we can learn to have his heart in matters only 1% as difficult.
