M.D School Lagos
Kindergarten and Elementary school located at Agidingbi and New Oko-Oba, Lagos. We also provide integrated education for children with special needs.
True holistic education for children encompasses nurturing the mind, body and soul. This term, we had an In-house Games Day filled with a lot of outdoor and indoor competitions among the learners. It was exciting day for the school filled with a lot of adrenaline and the spirit of sportsmanship.
The spirit of sportsmanship helps children understand fair play, it builds mutual respect for opponents, officials and fosters teamwork. Icing on the cake is they learn, perfect or horn new skills while having fun. Children generally have one or more areas of intelligence but they need to be able to explore to discover some of these gifts.
Parenting is not a journey to be taken with levity but with intentionality, as the foundation laid today, can set the stage/ height for the future of our children tomorrow. On Saturday, we had a great time with our parents talking about Navigating Modern Parenting. It was such an enlightening experience for all in attendance, as we dived deep into some of the issues faced by parents today and how to handle situations effectively for the best outcome for our children. Thanks to our knowledgeable Keynote speakers including (Dr Bisi Esuruoso) as they shared from their expertise and wealth of experience and special thanks to our Agidngbi PTA Exco and Summit Planning Committee for hosting us to an enriching time.
We are still in the euphoria of celebrating women in this women's celebration month 🎉 Last week Friday, we joined the rest of the world to celebrate International Women’s Day. It was a beautiful time at our New Oko-Oba School to see mothers and grandmothers alike, all dressed in pink and white. Pupils made a few presentations to the mothers present and we had a panel discussion looking into Family values: What is acceptable and what is not. It was such an insightful discussion among the mothers present.
We are glad to have been able to celebrate our mothers and all female staff. M.D School Mums made an attempt at choreographing to Big God by Tim Godfrey before we left.... what a amazing time.
Happy Women's Month to all the wonderful women around the world who are putting in their quota to make the society better everyday. God bless you all!
