Congratulations and many more celebration in the land of the living.
Dear CEO,
Many times we are quick to point out the duties and responsibilities of our staff both teaching and non teaching without knowing where the shoe pinches.
These are trying times and seasons,do you know your relationship with you staff at this period goes a long way in showing your true leadership qualities which is caring for the people under you to enhance productivity and loyalty.
My mind is troubled and concerned when l see how tenacious my staff are, coming to work with little or no money ,trekking distances and yet teaching the pupils.l sincerely salute their passion and commitment to me as an individual and to the pupils.
I decided to buy loaves of bread (700naira each with 10 pieces of eggs) to both teaching and non teaching,we are 56 members without the part time, everyone was very joyful going home with a loaded bag.
Some few minutes ago,l was thinking of the scenario in Nigeria,l decided to send a note of encouragement to my staff on our teachers platform, that is the least l could do at this time.
Kindly do something, buy somethings, pay salary on time before election, let them know you care for them.
I come in peace
Temidayo

π*PAY ATTENTION TO THIS IF YOUR SCHOOL IS YOUNG SO THAT YOUR EFFORTS TO GROW THIS BUSINESS WILL NOT BE A WASTE*
Part 1
_IF YOU WILL GROW YOUR SCHOOL ABOVE THE LEVEL YOU ARE, YOU WILL NEED TO LEARN HOW TO CREATE ENOUGH ATTENTION FOR YOUR SCHOOL_
Growth is a process but you must be deliberate about it. Learning to create enough attention for your school via different platforms and means is a must for you. Notice, I havenβt said βDO PUBLICITYβ. Publicity creates attention, but not all publicity creates targeted attention. In this business, approach to marketing must be towards your targeted audience for possible enrollment and not just for the show of it. Not all publicity targets the right set of people you need for your school. Sometimes, you need to do away with banners and handbills because it may not suit the ego of your targeted market.
Wait!!!
Do you know the kind of people you need for your school?
The caliber of parents that will appreciate and pay for the quality of value you provide or intend to?
If you spend millions on publicity without defining well the audience you want to reach and systematically get their attention, your efforts will be a waste and strategies will be frustrated. At this point, you may even result to spiritual battle when all you need is a school of business marketing common sense.
Let me start with Online publicity for your school. Thereβs a thing called social media attention for school growth and it works 100% but most times, it is over hyped and equally neglected when it supposed to balance the physical publicity.
The whole issue of online publicity for your KIND of school may be overhyped, if you donβt verify the type of parents you have and the level where you are. Your present level is what determines what you need.
Social media publicity works on the principle of contents creation, networking, engagement and leverage. It is very effective when your current parents and teachers engaged actively on those platforms to connect to your prospectives via likes π, comments and share on the contents you post.
If your school is young (small in context), you donβt really need online marketing to grow. What you need is physical attention and publicity. Your visibility and ability to manage and engage your workforce and current parents now will aid your growth.
You may not have enough contents to pull the publicity you need online or may not have good captions for your contents to create the lead you need. Focus on your physical strength. Online publicity can only complement the physical attention.
_You can populate a young and growing school without social media publicity_
Hereβs what to now focus on
Your parents have become more of a family to you. The transaction that happens between the school and parents proceed out of real feelings. Always consider this same feelings for all prospectives. Parents like to see the school as the childβs second home and love to feel comfortable knowing that the school owners see their children as their own.
No parent whoβd just see a school online, watch a virtual online tour, pay fees online and send children to the school, without visiting the school, inspecting the facilities, interviewing the school owner/administrator and teachers before releasing their children to even step foot into the school. School admissions cannot be reduced to online transactions.
YOUNG AND GROWING SCHOOLS...pay attention to this so you wonβt be distracted with trends. You canβt shift your competition and standards to Instagram and Facebook contents of schools. Most of these contents are built on different strengths you are yet to acquire.
Parents love to check the school physical environment and gauge the school owners and teachersβ caring spirit with attention of their appearance and your entire unique selling point and facilities before possible enrollment.
Take time to read again and digest this.
Do this and more for your child/ children/ learners. All the best! Compliment of the season.
Top of the day and year.

A TEACHER'S TRIBUTE TO TEACHERS
"Everyday I am up by 4:00am.
Thinking of other people's children.
Off to school to welcome other people's children.
Off to school to make sure other people's children are happy.
Off to school to make sure other people's children are learning.
Off to school to build lives.
Off to school to smile even when I don't feel like, I must, I do because I know lives depend on that smile.
Off to school to mark the register, checking on every child to be sure all is well.
Off to school to play the role of a nanny, yes my day is made playing that role well.
Yet, the society wants to See Me as poor.
They measure me by what I earn, not ready to make it better but just wanted to make me feel small...........
They try to compare me with professions I made because I choose to be who I am A TEACHER.
They care less about making me the STAR that I am, suddenly I know better now.....
Now I understand no man can make me feel small without my permission. No one has the right to define me, I define myself. I am not who the society calls me, I am who I call myself.
I am the Nation BUILDER.
I am the helper of destiny.
I am A Star.
I am a moulder.
I am full of compassion.
I care.
I teach.
I help.
I discover.
I unfold.
I bring to light.
I AM A TEACHER.
When next you think about me, see my job beyond what you pay me, look at the NATION I am building.
I AM HAPPY TO BE IN THE HUMBLE PROFESSION."
*GOD BLESS ALL THE TEACHERS WORLDWIDE*

*PROFESSIONALISM*
Professionalism is defined as the behavior you exhibit while at work.
As a professional, there are certain traits people expect to see in you regularly. These are the few ways on how to remain professional at your work place.
*1. Be punctual*
One of the personality traits of a good professional is the ability to arrive at the work station on time. The sage said : punctuality is the soul of business. It is the politeness of kings and queens.
*2. Practice etiquette*
Etiquette is politeness or courtesy. We also call it civility or decorum. It is the beauty of good manners. Be courteous to all but intimate to few.
*3. Maintain a positive mental attitude*
Every member must come to work with a positive mental attitude. Be cheerful and look very bright. Wear a mile-wide smile. Don't transfer your insuperable house problems to the work place. Zig Ziglar put it this way : It is your attitude, not aptitude, that determines your altitude.
*4. Dress decently at all times*
Dressing is such an integral part of being a professional. Every member must learn to dress properly at all times. Do not dress to disturb you staff mates or whoever . Take care of your hair both men and women. Therefore, don't dress like a large scale farmer of bhang.
You dress the way you want to be addressed. So, stop ranting and chanting 'My dress, My Choice'.
Keep yourself well-groomed and always pay attention to your personal hygiene.
*5. Tame the sting of your tongue*
As a professional, don't use obscene/vulgar language. Don't curse people. Shun vile verbal duels, gossips and godless chatters Avoid unnecessary fights and feuds fueled by wanton war of words. Don't engage in petty politics and polemics.
*6. Share knowledge*
A true professional is always willing to lend a helping hand to his or her colleagues. Share the specialised knowledge, and assist your fellow colleagues in case you have the wherewithal. Somewhere I read : Sharing is caring. When you share information, you may reap some immense benefits. The world does not reward you for what you know, but it rewards you for what you do with what you know.
*7. Respect yourself and others*
Every person must respect himself or herself at any time. It is also important to respect your colleagues at work. Be polite at all times to fellow colleagues, even when provoked. Respect is two-way traffic. So, for you to be respected, respect others too.
*8. Control your anger*
The work space is an area where you must learn to regulate your anger. Have some emotional intelligence. Even if you heat your anger to what magnitude, it cannot boil yummy yams. Robin Sharna puts it this way : an excellent way to control your temper is simply to count from 1 to 100 before you respond to someone who has irritated you.
*9. Don't peddle cheap lies*
Do not lie. Don't be petty and pedantic. Don't be childish, foolish and doltish. Stop conjuring scarulous stories that don't exist. Avoid being a big fat liar. Be straight-forward. Don't doctor things. It is not good to be dubious. Dishonesty and lack of integrity never make anyone look good. Be honest and calm at all times. Never expose your dirty linen in public. Professionals must ensure they do not expose their dirty linen in public.
*10. Learn to be confidential*
Keep confidential information confidential. Keep the secrets of the institution. Don't tear your colleagues like a piece of paper. Be wise, not otherwise.
*11. Follow policies*
Every true professional must obey policies. This depicts that you are disciplined and respectful. Obeying work policies will position you at the acme of your career.
*12. Let heavenly power guide you*
You always come out of your house to your work place empty-handed. Kneel down before you go out of your house telling God not to let you come in the evening the way you left.Bring something small but blessed.Even if economic times are hard hit, ask the power from above never let you lack.
*13. Get your job done*
Ensure on a daily basis, you have prepared your TO DO LIST for the day and week β and strive to achieve them. At the end of every day and week, itβs important to go through your TO DO LIST for the week and see how much you have achieved. Every professional must be RESULT-ORIENTED.
*Β©Please let us all strive to offer the best because at the end of it all positive legacy is very important in every position that one holds in any institution π
*INCREMENT IS INEVITABLE*
''How?''
Same water, same satchet, more money and you continue drinking the same satchet water.
Same crate, small eggs and bigger money. You now eat more eggs because just one egg is not enough to serve the purpose it used to serve before.
Same distance, worse vehicle, doubled fare, and you still struggle to board that bus. Even BRT no dey rapid again.
Dear parent,
why do you fancy putting the school at the receiving end?
Same country, same market, same price that you merchant the teachers do, but whenever there is an increase in school fees, you raise alarm.
Even when the school plans to give more, you complain and threaten to withdraw your child should the school increase the fee.
Do you ever think about how much the economy has affected the school's spending?
That building the school is using, do you take your time to go through how much it may cost to maintain it?
And that's just if the school is the owner of that building, otherwise, the rent must have flown with the jet of the economy.
The teaching materials of 1K is now 2k or 2.5k, have you ever reasoned how difficult it will be for the school to give your child a quality education?
It amazes me how you threaten to withdraw whenever you have an issue with your child's school. That place you are planning to withdraw to, do you know what is next in its plan? Do you know the inner structure? Many who have gone there are full of regret.
You didn't know that because they preferred to make it a personal pain, the Yorubas call it "isoΜ inuΜ αΊΉΜkΓΊ", the masquerade and his farting π
Take my advice and build your child a better future. No school will continue charging same fee, even when the economy keeps skyrocketing with inflation, and deliver well.
There would definitely be a lot of How's.
How would the staff salary be settled?
How will the school building be maintained?
How would utility bills be settled?
How will teaching materials be acquired?
How would the staff trainings be footed?
How and how will....?
Dear parent,
Let us reason together
How would you expect your child to triumph well in a school poorly planned and managed?
A school where teachers are angry
A school where school owner is hungry
How?
As a parent work with your child's school for the best of that child you LOVE.
THANK YOU!
Top of the day to you all.
*HOW TO CROSS THE FOUR HURDLES OF EVERY SUCCESSFUL ENROLLMENT*
The first hurdle to cross to experience increase in your next enrollment is your SCHOOL IMAGE-what people hear about your school, and how the school looks externally. This is what either attracts prospects or repels them. If you scale this, your breakthrough has just started.
In my consulting experience, I have discovered that many school owners engaged consultants to grow their school but they always hide the history of the school. There is no wonder to be performed by anyone when the main problem is you!
_YOUR CHARACTER-it will create an IMAGE to sell your school or otherwise._
_SCHOOL BUSINESS IS AN IMAGE BUSINESS_...pay attention to this!
If you wonβt get this wrong, it is a fact. People have tagged or known you with a certain character over the years, and itβs not criticism, it is a reality. They have misinterpreted your passion for desperation. It shows in the ways you handle matters and demand for your school fees from parents and quality service delivery from your staff. The amazing part is that you may not even see it.
Whether you define your character right or wrong now does not matter but the reality of it is that it has influence on the kind of people that can remain with you.
_Some of these things are unprintable_
How do we solve this?
You will need to focus on two IMAGES OF THIS BUSINESS-Social image and physical image.
I wish you will take what I am about to tell you without being misconstrued. You may need to take responsibility for the result of some negative image your school now has, because of you, or your family. Maybe itβs time for you to step aside and let some neutral person run the school for a while.
Your school social image is the biggest catalyst or deterrent to how you will grow. Your social image can be dented in these ways: Constant deliberate changing of teachers, no payment of salary during the holidays, wrong handling of confrontation from neighbors or parents, no zero tolerance for examination malpractices, poor welfare packages for staff, lack of quality human resource management, poor recruitment process, mere formality of aggregate for entrance examination, lack of structure and policies implementation, and poor academic contents. If you do not make a critical examination of your system, you may not be able to identify these areas and it will continue to dent the image of your school.
Physical image is all about how your school look outwardly. When people pass by your school daily, if what you have outside do not inspire them a second look, only few will check in for inquiries. When they come in, they are bagged with certain perceptions and behavior you may find difficult to change. With the outward look of your school, they already have a fixed range of school fees you possibly should collect. You may loose them when your bill does not commensurate with what they perceived. You see how important it is to create an impression on the way your look on the outside.
If you scale this first hurdle, talking about both the social and physical image, people will be attracted to see what you have and become prospects. This is a step closer to successful enrollment.
Hope this meet you well.
Take this and put it in place as owners, school head etc
